Capcom plans to add significant content to Resident Evil Requiem after its release, including a new story chapter and a completely new game mode.
Director Koshi Nakanishi announced on social media that they’re creating a story-driven expansion for the game, promising to explore the world of ‘Requiem’ in more detail. He asked fans to be patient, as development will take some time.
Players will soon have access to a Photo Mode in Resident Evil Requiem, expected around May, along with a small, new minigame. However, the game won’t include any extra modes like Mercenaries – the only unlockable is a more challenging difficulty setting for the main story. Fans have been asking about these kinds of bonus modes, and this upcoming update might address those requests.
Capcom will continue to update and improve Resident Evil Requiem with regular fixes and improvements.
Following the news that Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed five million copies sold, the game continues to receive praise. Critics have given it high marks, with a score of 89 on Metacritic.
