The upcoming game from Capcom, titled “Resident Evil Requiem” and part of their renowned survival horror series, hasn’t disclosed its PC specifications as of now. However, it is expected to include Nvidia’s DLSS 4 and Path Tracing technology for an immersive ray-traced gameplay experience.
In a fresh trailer, Masaru Ijuin, the Engine Development Support Manager, provides an explanation of key features. Notably, the game will employ Path Tracing technology, which surpasses standard ray tracing in delivering lifelike visuals. This innovation encompasses real-time mirror and lens effects, intricate shadows cast by multiple light sources, and numerous other enhancements.
In addition, Ijuin pointed out that Capcom is collaborating with Nvidia to enhance the game’s compatibility across various PC configurations, even those with basic hardware specifications. Given the recent debates about PC performance involving Capcom, particularly Monster Hunter World, there’s a lot of anticipation for Requiem to provide a more seamless gaming experience.
The game titled “Resident Evil Requiem” is set to release on February 27, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. A sneak peek of this game will be showcased during Gamescom Opening Night Live from August 20th to 24th, and attendees have the opportunity to play it. Keep an eye out for more updates until then.
