Tribute Games, the developer, is currently working on Scott Pilgrim EX, a continuation of the beloved beat-’em-up Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. From what we’ve seen in this initial gameplay video, it appears to be living up to its predecessor quite well.
The studio shared a three-minute demo video featuring the game’s visually appealing pixel art and side-scrolling gameplay.
The game appears to have some similarities to the Scott Pilgrim beat-’em-up, such as collecting coins after defeating opponents, stores where you can buy items, and numerous pick-ups and objects that can be thrown around.

The new game might seem familiar because it was developed by the same team who previously worked on it while under Ubisoft. In other words, they’ve returned to their roots, making a complete loop.
Tribute Games has gained recognition by creating retro-style brawlers such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and the forthcoming Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
Here’s hoping Scott Pilgrim EX can live up to the legacy when it arrives in 2026.
