Marvel just dropped a short teaser suggesting the return of a tough, former investigator whose story was left unfinished. It looks like they’re bringing back a character from a cancelled show, hinting that old mysteries will be revisited.
Jessica Jones gets new intro teaser ahead of Daredevil: Born Again return
The upcoming season of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again will feature the return of Jessica Jones. A recent announcement teased the news with the message, “Hell’s Kitchen isn’t ready,” hinting at the exciting developments to come.
Marvel announced that Jessica Jones will be appearing in the second season of the Daredevil: Born Again series. A new episode will be available tomorrow at 6 PM Pacific Time exclusively on Disney+. The announcement included a promotional image showing Jessica Jones with the main characters, and the teaser features audio clips from her previous shows.
Jessica Jones will return to screens in a new episode titled “Requiem,” premiering on Disney+ on April 21st. This is her first appearance since her Netflix series ended in 2019. Krysten Ritter is back as Jessica Jones, a role she hasn’t played in live-action for almost seven years. The new episode picks up the story right after she was last seen at a train station, before deciding to change her plans.
The trailer depicts her walking through a church, accompanied by overlapping voices from her past. Among these voices is Kilgrave, suggesting she’s still dealing with the psychological impact of their previous encounters.
Meanwhile, Matt Murdock is fighting back against Wilson Fisk’s control of New York City. Fisk has created a task force to stop vigilantes and placed the city under martial law. Jessica joins Murdock’s efforts, using her skills as an investigator and her super strength to help the cause.
After imprisoning Trish Walker, the story picks up with Jessica Jones now a mother. She enters a volatile situation where conflict is rising between vigilantes and the forces of Kingpin.
Jessica Jones and Daredevil previously teamed up in the series The Defenders. Now, rumors suggest Luke Cage might join Jessica Jones in this new season, and there are hints that other characters from the same shared universe could appear later on.
