In the opening scene of “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers“, once the Reverent Temple Shrine has been activated, players will step into a zone where they’ll meet the Boatman for the first time. On the left side of this area, there’s a gate, and interacting with it discloses that it requires the Reverent Temple Key to open. However, the game doesn’t specify exactly where to find “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers‘ Reverent Temple Key”. This guide will help players discover how they can obtain this crucial item.
For gamers who prefer minimal spoilers, let me tell you that they can count on acquiring the Reverent Temple Key as they progress through the game. This crucial artifact is actually earned during the main storyline, although it might take players a few hours to reach the stage where they receive it.
Where to Find Reverent Temple Key in Wuchang Fallen Feathers

In order to obtain the Reverent Temple Key, players need to defeat Commander Honglan, the last obligatory boss in Worship’s Rise. Once you’ve successfully vanquished this foe, the key will automatically appear in your inventory. With this key in hand, you can immediately open the gate near the Reverent Temple.
Honglan too bestows upon Wei the Combo Force Blessing, which amplifies the damage of subsequent attacks sequentially.
To begin the fight with Honglan, you need to get to the Tang Emperor’s Palace, which lies at the end of Worship’s Rise, beyond the Corpse Pit. You will automatically reach this area as you progress along the main storyline. When you arrive, take these steps to locate and activate the Palace Hill Shrine:
1. Move towards the designated location within the Tang Emperor’s Palace.
2. Once there, search for the Palace Hill Shrine.
3. Activate the shrine to prepare for the upcoming battle with Honglan.
- Climb the stairs that are ahead, pass through the opening in the wall, and go to the back-left corner of the area with the small bridges.
- Climb the wooden ramp to get onto a roof, and use the ladder on the other side to descend.
- At the bottom, go forward and climb a small ladder.
- Continue forward, use the stairs on the right, and follow the path to pass a building that houses the Tang Palace Maid.
- After passing the building, climb the ladder on the left to get onto a roof.
- Go right at the top, and continue along the path to run into the Palace Hill Shrine.
After activating the Palace Hill Shrine, players should explore the region to their left to discover a Buddha Statue. Placing this statue into a device located to the right of the Palace Hill Shrine will drain the pond situated at the center of the Tang Emperor’s Place. Jumping into the now-empty pond initiates a battle with Honglan.
