Although the exact meaning of Uba is unclear, co-star Erin Lichy responded, “I don’t wish to play the role of a homing pigeon.”
Later, Brynn Whitfield makes a comment about another woman resembling a “Central Park pigeon feeder,” and one of the co-stars jokes, “Let’s bring the pigeons to court instead!”
It’s possible that they’re employing the phrase symbolically, like messenger pigeons, since several actors seem to be passing along rumors or gossip about one another.
