Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley are going their separate ways.

Jen Shah, known from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and her husband have split up after nine years of marriage. Jen also has a 19-year-old daughter, Gwen, from a previous relationship.

Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley have decided to separate, according to a statement released on December 12th. A representative for Bronwyn said the decision was made jointly and with mutual respect.

The statement ended with asking “for privacy during this time.”

The news of their breakup comes mid-season six of RHOSLC, which has been showing the couple’s difficulties. A major issue was a claim made by Angie Katsanevas that Todd kissed one of Lisa Barlow’s friends, though Bronwyn denied it happened.

Bronwyn later told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that the rumor about Todd cheating with one of Lisa’s friends was completely false.

During the season, Bronwyn addressed rumors that Todd was caught cheating on a plane – specifically, that he was seen looking at photos of other women on his phone. This led to an argument, and Todd ended up spending the night at a hotel.

She explained that when she first saw the screenshot of the tweet he sent, she was incredibly angry. She told Todd he either needed to get a hotel room for the night and leave for his trip the next morning, or leave immediately. She felt they needed time apart.

After what happened, Bronwyn hinted she might be open to the idea of an open marriage with Todd.

I really don’t want to end things with Todd. I want us to grow together, and I need him to grow with me too. We need to be heading in the same direction, even if we take different paths sometimes. He can pursue his own interests, and I can pursue mine, but ultimately we still need to function as a team when we reach our goals.”

After the incident, Bronwyn hinted she might be open to the idea of an open marriage with Todd.

We need to be heading in the same direction, even if we take different paths sometimes. He can pursue his own interests, and I can pursue mine, but we still need to function as partners and support each other when we reach our goals, whatever those may be.

Season six’s reveals about their relationship build on Bronwyn’s confession in season five: that Todd had been emotionally unfaithful in the past.

During a cast trip to Puerto Vallarta, she explained that a couple of years ago, while they were traveling, Todd was texting on his iPad. Gwen happened to glance at the screen over his shoulder, and then came to her to tell her what she’d seen. This led her to confront Todd about it.

She explained that his relentless drive is both his greatest strength and his biggest weakness. He’s never content with what he’s achieved, constantly striving for more, which makes success in business natural for him. However, she noted it’s difficult for him to switch off that mindset, even when he’s at home, and he’s always searching for the next opportunity.

Bronwyn, age 40, explained that she didn’t blame her husband, Todd, 65, saying people get comfortable with what they know. After Todd gave her five diamonds as a symbol of his commitment to improve, they were able to move forward. However, Bronwyn still had some lingering doubts about their relationship.

Bronwyn admitted she constantly worries about not being supportive, caring, or present enough for her family. She feels like she often falls short at home, and that thought always weighs on her mind.

I deeply value Todd’s opinions and guidance, and I believe I’m as important to him as anyone else. However, I feel my feelings for him are stronger than his feelings for me.
