I’m really excited to hear that Richard Osman is doing a new quiz show for ITV! It’s a shame he’s stepped down from ‘House of Games’ on BBC Two, I loved that show, but I’m definitely tuning in to see what he comes up with next. He’s brilliant at this sort of thing.
I’m really excited to hear about a new competition called The Golden Elevators! It’s being made by Talpa Studios, run by John de Mol, and Studio Lambert – they’re the team behind some of my favorite shows like The Traitors, Race Across the World, and even Squid Game: The Challenge. I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
This unique game show takes basic yes-or-no questions and turns them into a thrilling competition. Ten players face off against each other and a pair of moving elevators, all while trying to reach the top-floor penthouse and win a large cash prize.
The game takes place in a skyscraper lobby, and each question offers two choices – represented by different elevators. Players have time to discuss and try to convince each other before making a decision. Choosing the correct elevator moves you closer to the top, but a wrong choice sends everyone back down to the lobby, eliminating them from the game.
Once someone wins the jackpot, it’s split among all the players who reach the penthouse. The question is, will they work together as a team, or will one person betray the others and try to claim the prize for themselves?

Richard Osman is excited to host “The Golden Elevators,” a new quiz show he immediately agreed to be a part of after seeing it. He describes the game as easy to understand but challenging to master, unlike anything he’s seen before, and is eager for ITV viewers to tune in – he even affectionately calls it “The Golden Lifts.”
This year, it was announced that Osman would be leaving House of Games after hosting for nine years. Michael Sheen will be the new host, fronting 100 episodes scheduled to air later in the year.
According to Tim Harcourt, creative chief at Studio Lambert, the show combines a straightforward question-and-answer format with surprisingly challenging gameplay. He believes the collaboration between ITV, Jasper, John DeMol’s Talpa Studios, and Richard Osman creates a truly exceptional team, and they are excited to bring the show to viewers.
