Rick and Morty season 9 premiere date for Adult Swim confirmed – won’t be “AI slop”

Just when things weren’t unpredictable enough, Rick and Morty are returning for season 9 soon!

The new season of the adult animated comedy is coming soon! It will premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday, May 24th.

The latest season of Rick and Morty is coming soon! The creators promise a season full of great episodes, made with genuine effort and human creativity – not artificial intelligence. They’re really hoping viewers tune in, because they’ve dedicated a lot of time and effort to making it!

Michael Ouweleen, the president of Adult Swim, said he’s expected to praise the show, but he genuinely believes it continues to get better and better with each iteration.

It’s amazing – and a little overwhelming – how much incredible talent and creativity this show consistently delivers each season.

Okay, so right from the start, this movie just throws you into a totally wild and original world. And honestly? The characters are some of the best I’ve ever seen – it’s my job to talk these things up, but in this case, I genuinely mean it.

The first preview images for the new season are out, and they offer a glimpse of the show’s signature energy. Returning to voice their characters are Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden, who have been key members of the cast since season 7.

US viewers can buy new episodes online the day after they first appear on Adult Swim. But the complete season 9 won’t be available for streaming until August 31st.

As a huge Rick and Morty fan, I’m really excited to hear that HBO Max is launching in the UK and Ireland on March 26th! Even better, it’s going to be the new place to watch the show, taking over from Channel 4. I’m definitely signing up!

Rick and Morty season 9 will begin on 24 May on Adult Swim.
