2025 wasn’t a standout year for racing games. Project Motor Racing didn’t quite hit the mark, and Rennsport showed that Teyon is better suited to games like Terminator and RoboCop. While Forza Horizon 6 is expected in 2026, you can get your racing fix now with RIDE 6! Milestone’s newest installment in the popular series releases on February 12th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and it includes a bunch of exciting new features. Let’s take a closer look, starting with…
Unreal Engine 5
The RIDE series has always been praised for its stunning graphics, and RIDE 4 really set a new standard for realism. Now, RIDE 6 is taking things even further by switching to the Unreal Engine 5, promising even more detailed and lifelike visuals. While new technology sometimes means performance issues, RIDE 5 ran surprisingly well. To celebrate this upgrade, the game also features a completely overhauled Career Mode.
RIDE Fest Career Mode
If you were hoping for an open-world motorbike experience like in Forza Horizon, you’ll be disappointed with RIDE 6, which keeps its traditional Career Mode. However, RIDE Fest is a step up in terms of atmosphere and offers more freedom in how you progress, letting you build your career as a pro rider. The main issue is that the difficulty level between you and your opponents feels uneven.
Challenging Real-World Racing Legends
If you want to win RIDE Fest, you’ll have to beat ten of the greatest motorcycle racers ever. The competition includes MotoGP champion Casey Stoner, Superbike winner Troy Bayliss, and Isle of Man TT legend Guy Martin. With racers experienced in so many different types of motorcycles, getting to the top won’t be easy!
Over 280 Motorcycles
When it comes to motorcycles, RIDE 6 lets you choose from 289 different bikes right from the start. They’re spread across seven types and come from 21 manufacturers. Think of it like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but for motorcycles – you can race with brands like Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki, plus many others. And alongside all the classic bikes, the game also includes some exciting new types.
New Bagger and Maxi Enduro Bikes

You’ve likely seen bikes like these around – now you can race them professionally in the game! These ‘Bagger’ bikes, with their storage bags, and the powerful Maxi Enduro bikes, which are great off-road, offer a different racing experience than typical sport or dirt bikes. They’ll definitely add some new challenges as you learn to ride them.
39 Tracks on Day One
How much fun you have riding depends on the tracks, and thankfully, RIDE 6 offers a great selection of scenery. There are 39 tracks to choose from at launch, including famous locations like Daytona International Speedway, Fuji, Brands Hatch, Le Mans, Suzuka, and the challenging Nürburgring Nordschleife. More tracks set in places like Spain, Canada, and South Africa will become available, and they won’t all be traditional paved circuits.
Off-Road Races At Last
While RIDE 5 dipped its toes into off-road racing with the Short Track Pack, RIDE 6 fully embraces it, adding dedicated dirt tracks for the first time. It’s a little odd seeing racers stay so clean during pre-release gameplay, but the overall feeling, setting, and track design are what really matter – and we can expect more realistic details when the game officially launches.
Arcade and Pro Settings
Racing simulation games often face a challenge: balancing realism for experienced players with ease of use for beginners. This game addresses that with two main modes: Arcade and Pro. Arcade mode lets you race without worrying about complex details, while Pro mode offers a truly realistic experience. Beyond those, you can customize many other aspects of the game, like the weather, lighting, and time of day, letting you race under sunny skies or in a nighttime rainstorm, and adjust the difficulty to your liking.
The Return of Riding School

If you’re new to motorcycling and want to learn the basics, the Bridgestone Riding School is a great place to start. It’s similar to the riding school in the video game RIDE 5, where you’ll complete challenges on specific bikes to earn medals and improve your skills, ultimately aiming for gold.
Full Crossplay (But No Day One Splitscreen)
While local split-screen won’t be ready when the game launches, RIDE 6 will let you play online with friends on any platform. You can also compete on global leaderboards and show off your rider style!
4K/60 FPS on Consoles
Based on previous games in the series, it’s unlikely the standard PS5 and Xbox Series X will have different graphics settings. However, the Xbox Store indicates that RIDE 6 will feature 4K Ultra HD, a frame rate of 60 or more frames per second, and HDR10. The PS5 version is expected to offer the same visual quality.
DualSense and PS5 Pro Enhanced Support
Given the immersive nature of this game, features like realistic vibrations and changing resistance in the triggers feel essential. It truly mimics the feel of holding motorcycle handlebars – almost as good as a dedicated racing setup! And for PlayStation 5 owners, RIDE 6 is optimized for the PS5 Pro. While specific improvements haven’t been detailed yet, a smoother, faster frame rate is a likely benefit.
PC Requirements

With computer memory often limited, it’s great that the game RIDE 6 doesn’t require top-of-the-line hardware. To run it, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (or similar), a graphics card like an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, and 16 GB of RAM. For a smoother experience, they recommend a Core i3-12100F or Ryzen 5 2600X paired with an RTX 2080 or Radeon RX 7700XT, also with 16 GB of RAM. The game takes up a significant 60 GB of storage space, but that’s a reasonable trade-off.
Accessibility Features
While the complete list of accessibility options is still being finalized, the PS5 already allows players to avoid holding or rapidly pressing buttons. Players can also turn off features like simultaneous button presses, motion controls, touch controls, controller vibration, and the adaptive trigger effects if they prefer.
Bike Packs and Season Passes
No racing game is complete without extra content, and RIDE 6 is no exception! If you pre-order any version, you’ll get the Made in Japan Bikes Pack with the 2024 Honda CBR 600 RR (Racing Modified) and Yamaha YZF-R1M. The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions come with an extra bonus: the Made in Italy Bikes Pack, featuring the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 S EM and 2024 Aprilia RSV4 Factory E5. The Deluxe Edition includes Season Pass Vol. 1, but the Ultimate Edition goes even further with both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 – giving you even more bikes – plus a Credits Multiplier to help you progress faster.
