Milestone just announced RIDE 6, the newest installment in their motorcycle racing series, with a brand new trailer. The game will be available on PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S starting February 12th. Players can get early access beginning February 9th, though details on how to access it – whether through pre-order or a special edition – haven’t been released yet.
RIDE 6 introduces a new career mode called RIDE Fest. This mode is designed like a touring festival, letting players progress at their own speed as they compete to become the world’s best rider. Players will race against ten legendary two-wheel racers, including real-world stars like Casey Stoner, Troy Bayliss, and Guy Martin.
Okay, so I’m super hyped for this new racing game! They’re promising over 340 bikes from 21 different manufacturers – that’s insane! They’re broken down into 7 different classes, and apparently, it’s the biggest bike roster they’ve ever had in the whole series. What’s really cool is they’re adding new types of bikes like Baggers and Maxi Enduros, which should totally change up how the game feels and give us some fresh riding experiences.
Players can race on over 45 diverse tracks inspired by locations worldwide in this game. Alongside famous real-world race circuits, RIDE 6 features imaginative, fictional tracks designed to challenge even skilled players. The game includes everything from world-class circuits and road races to fun karting tracks. RIDE 6 is also introducing off-road racing to the series for the first time, letting players experience the thrill of high-speed biking on dirt and gravel.
RIDE 6 is built with Unreal Engine 5, and Milestone promises it will have the best graphics seen in any RIDE game so far. The game will also feel more realistic thanks to improved bike sounds and visuals. Players can choose between a realistic ‘Pro’ experience or a more accessible ‘Arcade’ mode thanks to a new dual-physics system.
The Arcade mode is being created for players new to the game, while the Pro mode will be a highly detailed racing experience. It will offer realistic simulation and customizable assists, letting players adjust how much control they have while racing.
New players can jump into the returning Riding School, which provides enjoyable challenges and rewards to help them learn the game. RIDE 6’s multiplayer will support cross-platform play, letting you race with friends on any system, and also features split-screen for local multiplayer. Players will also have more creative freedom with the Race Creator and a detailed bike editor to customize their experience.
In the meantime, check out our review of the previous installment.
