Rihanna Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 3 With A$AP Rocky

For Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, life is too good. 

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who are already parents to RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, recently welcomed their new baby, Rocki Irish Mayers, on September 13th. Rihanna shared the news on Instagram on September 24th.

The new mother, who has three children, shared a photo of herself holding her baby, who was snugly wrapped in a pink blanket. She also posted a picture of tiny pink boxing gloves decorated with ribbons.

Rihanna, 37, and A$AP Rocky, 36, are expecting another baby, and Rihanna shared that their older children are thrilled about becoming big siblings. At the Los Angeles premiere of *Smurfs* in July, where Rihanna voices Smurfette, she told *Extra* that her kids are “delighted” about the new arrival.

Rihanna shared that she’s always dreamed of having a daughter, but she’s just as thrilled to be welcoming another baby, regardless of the gender. She’ll be happy with either a son or a daughter.

“God knows best, right?” she continued. “And I love my boys.”

In May, Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with her third child through a photo shoot with Miles Diggs. She then publicly showed off her baby bump at the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP Rocky was a co-host.

A$AP Rocky expressed his joy about becoming a father again, telling the Associated Press, “It feels amazing.” He explained they were ready to share the news after keeping it quiet for a while, and he’s thrilled to see everyone is happy for them, as they are too.

Seeing Rihanna and A$AP Rocky so happy together is amazing, but what really touched me was hearing Rihanna talk about motherhood. She said having RZA and Riot has helped her connect with her feminine side in ways she never expected, and it’s so beautiful to see her embrace that. It’s more than just being a mom; it’s a whole new level of self-discovery for her, and I’m thrilled for her.

She told TopMob News’ Francesca Amiker in April 2024 that being a mom to boys makes her feel comfortable and free to be herself. It allows her to be relaxed and unconcerned with appearances, but also encourages her to fully appreciate and express her femininity – she’s even started wearing pink more often.

And in terms of her relationship with A$AP, Rihanna only has love on the brain. 

As a parent myself, I totally get this! A famous musician recently shared with British Vogue how having their oldest son felt like becoming best friends with a baby. It really forces you and your partner to be a team. They said that while everything shifts when you welcome a little one, it actually brought them even closer together, and honestly, that’s a beautiful thing to hear. It’s a reminder that navigating parenthood *with* someone can deepen your bond.

Rihanna is known for many things – she’s a musician, a businesswoman with Savage X Fenty, but she especially loves being a mom.

Rihanna described motherhood as an incredible, life-changing experience. She said it completely transforms your perspective – you quickly lose touch with who you were before, and it’s almost impossible to relate to those past memories or feelings. Looking at old photos, it feels like a different life, and ultimately, those previous desires and interests just don’t seem important anymore.

As for A$AP, he too thrilled about this latest chapter of fatherhood.

The rapper, known for his song ‘Everyday,’ told Zane Lowe in a January 2023 interview on Apple Music 1 that becoming a father is something you just can’t put into words. He said he now identifies with other dads, joking that if you see a dad, you’ll see him – he’s fully embraced his role as a father.

“You come home to heaven every day,” he continued. “I’m so thankful. God is good, man.”

She debuted her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

She explained in an interview with *Interview* magazine, published on April 9th, that they were both familiar with each other’s past relationships. Knowing how strongly they could affect each other – for better or worse – they approached dating very carefully, aware of the potential for both happiness and heartbreak.
