Oh, look at that, Ripple Labs finally got their act together and got licensed to transmit money in Texas and New York. 🤑
On January 27th, Ripple was like, “Hey, guess what? We’ve got more than 50 licenses now, including these two big ones!” They’re all excited because now they can do cross-border payments in the US. 🚀
“Texas and New York, they’ve got rules, man. Strict rules,” Ripple said, trying to sound all professional and stuff. 📚
These two states are like the cool kids now, with all the crypto firms wanting to hang out there. Texas with its mining companies and New York with its digital asset businesses. And guess who’s in the loop? Ripple, that’s who. 🎉
But wait, there’s more! Remember that SEC v. Ripple case? Yeah, it’s still a thing. They’re still fighting over XRP. Ripple got hit with a $125 million fine, but they’re like, “Nah, we’re gonna appeal that.” 🙄
And let’s not forget about Brad Garlinghouse and Stuart Alderoty’s bromance with Trump. They donated a bunch of XRP to his inaugural fund and partied with him at Mar-a-Lago. 🎩
Garlinghouse even said that Trump’s election directly led to 75% of Ripple’s job openings being in the US. So, there you go, Trump fans, you’ve got Ripple to thank for that. 🤷♂️
