Fans of the popular Disney+ series Rivals, based on Jilly Cooper’s novels, have only a couple of months to wait for the new season. It promises plenty of exciting content.
The popular show will be back with new episodes soon, and viewers can expect a dramatic season. The competition to run the local TV channel is heating up, and the rivalry between the two media companies is becoming increasingly intense.
Rivals isn’t just about the behind-the-scenes workings of television; it also features several romantic relationships, most notably between Freddie Jones, played by Danny Dyer, and Lizzie Vereker, played by Katherine Parkinson. Parkinson recently shared exciting news with fans as filming on the show concluded.
When asked about what’s coming in season two, Parkinson didn’t reveal any details about the storyline, but confirmed that filming has wrapped up.

I just finished filming a few weeks ago,” Parkinson explained to TopMob. “Right now, I’m adding the final touches with extra dialogue and recordings, but I’m really happy with how it’s turning out and can’t wait for people to see it.
Asked if fans were in for a treat in season 2, Parkinson responded: “I think they are.”
The new season promises a lot of exciting changes, with several new actors joining the show. These include Rupert Everett, who will play Helen’s husband, Malise Gordon, alongside Maxim Ays, Holly Cattle, Oliver Dench, Amanda Lawrence, Bobby Lockwood, Eliot Salt, and Jonny Weldon.
Disney+ hints that Tony Baddingham (David Tennant) is set on destroying his enemies, using damaging rumors and controlling the people around him to stay in charge.
As the extravagant 1980s unfold, the private lives of those at the heart of Rutshire begin to fall apart. Driven by their goals, marriages crumble, affairs endanger families, and old secrets come to light with dramatic results. Competition intensifies, pushing everyone to their limits and testing their friendships and loves. But at what price do they pursue their ambitions?
