As an enthusiastic supporter, I couldn’t help but get thrilled when Saber Interactive, in partnership with Focus Entertainment, took center stage during Gamescom Opening Night Live. The spotlight was on them as they revealed their latest creation – Road Kings. The announcement was accompanied by a captivating trailer that gave us a glimpse into the game’s narrative, and more importantly, placed us in the driver’s seat of a massive 40-ton semi truck!
As a thrill-seeking gamer, I can’t wait to get my hands on “Road Kings”! This game has me behind the wheel of a truck, navigating treacherous conditions that would make any seasoned driver sweat. The developers have gone all out with realistic physics and weather simulations, making every drive feel like a true adventure. And the best part? I’ll be cruising through the diverse landscapes of the American South – from wide-open highways to narrow mountain passes, this game promises an authentic road trip experience!
In a nutshell, Road Kings shares some resemblance with games such as American Truck Simulator, but it seems to offer more than just driving a truck. The game appears to incorporate a narrative element where you start off as a novice driver and progressively climb the ladder to becoming the owner-operator of your own transport company. Along this journey, players will encounter various challenges involving route planning, managing cargo, and fulfilling client expectations.
As a fan, I’m ecstatic to embark on another thrilling voyage alongside our long-term collaborator, Saber Interactive! In a recent announcement, John Bert, the managing director of Focus Entertainment Publishing, shared that we’re working together on an extraordinary project called “Road Kings.” This collaboration merges Saber’s remarkable technical skills with Focus Entertainment’s deep-rooted passion for creating captivating simulation experiences. Our collective goal is to deliver a richer gameplay experience and a more vibrant adventure for gamers. We can barely contain our excitement as we eagerly anticipate fans jumping into the driver’s seat and exploring all that this new title has in store!
In simple, conversational language, “Being a local Floridian, it’s truly thrilling to witness pieces of my hometown appearing in ‘Road Kings’. I used to spend countless hours on these roads as a kid, and now we’re turning them into a game that’s breaking new ground in the simulation genre. I couldn’t be happier to be part of this exciting venture, and I personally can’t wait to play it.” (Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch)
As an eager enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that “Road Kings” doesn’t have a confirmed release date just yet. But, here’s some fantastic news for us gaming fans – it’s been officially announced that this exciting title is heading our way on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S!
Moreover, the talented team at Saber Interactive has another project in the pipeline that revolves around heavy machinery. This new game is called “Docked“. Can’t wait to get my hands on both of these fantastic titles!
