Rob Kardashian Reveals Why He Stepped Away From TV in Rare Interview

Rob Kardashian may be famous by blood, but he’s private by choice.

The only Kardashian brother, who left the well-known reality series in 2017 after the brief run of his and ex Blac Chyna‘s spin-off show Rob & Chyna in 2016, recently explained why he avoids being in front of cameras these days.

During a call with his sister Khloe Kardashian on the July 16 episode of “Khloe in Wonder Land”, Rob explained that he doesn’t want to film because it puts him in situations where he feels uncomfortable. Since he isn’t comfortable with himself, he prefers not to expose himself on camera and make himself vulnerable when that’s not something he wants to do.

The 38-year-old individual, positioned lower than Khloe, as well as their eldest sisters Kourtney Kardashian (aged 46) and Kim Kardashian (aged 44), in terms of birth order, made it clear that there was no tension or hostility within him and his siblings.

He pointed out that there’s no issue whatsoever among us all. However, he emphasized that whatever the problem is, it entirely stems from himself.

He didn’t completely rule out the possibility of returning in the future, but expressed his preference for acting only when it feels authentic and uplifting to him. “I enjoy filming when it’s genuine and natural, and I’m feeling great about myself,” he clarified. “Being with my family is something that appeals to me.

Although Rob Jenner, who is the older brother to Kendall Jenner (age 29) and Kylie Jenner (age 27), who are his half-sisters, left the original “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” series after its 13th season, he has still made occasional appearances on the family’s later show titled “The Kardashians” on Hulu.

“I don’t know,” Rob replied. “A f–king whore?”

Barely phased, matriarch Kris joked to producers they’d have to “bleep” out Rob’s comment. 

At the same time, Rob’s statement that he doesn’t plan to rejoin the show coincides with Khloe’s wish for him to return as a permanent cast member.

Khloe, at age 41, expressed her belief during an episode of ‘The Kardashians’ in 2023 that Rob might return to the show. She mentioned that he often talks about it and added that she is aware of the personal struggles Rob has faced.

Khloe admitted, however, that her younger brother was doing well out of the limelight. 

She enthusiastically expressed, ‘He’s truly an exceptional father, and I couldn’t be prouder of him.’ I firmly believe he’s delighted with himself, and it brings me joy to see him this way.
