Police have arrested Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Rob and Michele, and he’s being held on suspicion of murder in connection with their deaths, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

In a statement released on December 17th, the family shared their profound grief, saying no words could express the pain they feel. They described the loss of their parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, as devastating, something no one should have to endure. They cherished their parents not just as family, but as their closest friends.

In a 2024 Instagram video, the actress from You People showed she and her father, Rob, have a similar sense of humor. She playfully joked about her career not taking off and even jokingly asked him if a Brazilian butt lift would help, all while giving him a haircut.

Rob asked, “Do you really think that would help people respect you more?” He then added, with a hint of teasing, “Or would they just focus on your appearance?”

Romy said sharing her work would get people to notice her skills, but her father playfully combined that with a joke about a physical crack, using the word “crack” to refer to both her talent and a visible flaw.

He told Romy he advised against it, but ultimately, she was the one who would have to deal with the consequences of her own choices.

Jake and his father both loved baseball, a passion that came from Jake’s father, director Carl Reiner, who had gotten it from his father.
