Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack launches January 29, 2026 worldwide

Koei Tecmo and Kou Shibusawa have announced that *Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake: Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack* (formerly known as *Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake with Power-Up Kit*) will be available worldwide on January 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam.

In Japan, the game will be available in the following editions:

  • For Those Who Do Not Own Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake
    • Physical and Digital
      • Standard – 10,780 yen (PS5, PS4, Switch) / 11,880 yen (PC)
      • “Treasure Box” Limited Edition – 17,600 yen (PS5, PS4, Switch) / 18,700 yen (PC)
        • Includes a copy of the game, a 500-piece mosaic art jigsaw puzzle, a set of two A4 clear files, a soundtrack CD, and the bonus fictional scenario “The Divided Age.”
  • For Those Who Do Own Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake
    • Physical and Digital
      • Downloadable Content “Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack” – 5,280 yen (PC)
      • Downloadable Content “Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack” “Treasure Box” Limited Edition – 12,100 yen (PC)
        • Includes the downloadable content “Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack,” a 500-piece mosaic art jigsaw puzzle, a set of two A4 clear files, a soundtrack CD, and the bonus fictional scenario “The Divided Age.”
    • Digital
      • Downloadable Content “Destiny and Strategy Expansion Pack” – 4,730 yen (PS5, PS4, Switch)

Players in Western regions will be able to add the ‘Destiny and Strategy’ expansion pack to their existing copy of *Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake* through a digital download. It’s unknown if the expansion and base game will be offered together as a digital bundle, or if a physical copy will be made available – though a physical release is unlikely, as the original game was only released digitally in the West.
