Rudy Guiliani is recovering from a terrifying car crash.
Previously, the ex-mayor of New York City was admitted to a hospital following a car accident that occurred on August 20th in New Hampshire. It’s reported that he was struck from behind on the highway after pulling over to assist a victim of domestic violence.
Before the occurrence, a woman who was a victim of domestic violence stopped him (Mayor Giuliani). Michael Ragusa, his head of security, noted this in a statement posted on Instagram on August 31. Immediately, Mayor Giuliani provided aid and dialed 911 for assistance.
The statement went on to say that he stayed put at the scene until the arriving police officers ensured her safety. Later, while driving on the highway, the car belonging to Mayor Giuliani got hit hard from behind.
After the statement, it was reported that the 81-year-old individual was taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment. There, they were diagnosed with a broken thoracic vertebra, numerous cuts and bruises on various parts of their body, as well as injuries to their left arm and lower leg.
Shortly after being informed, both his business associate and healthcare professional rushed to the hospital to monitor his treatment. Currently, no new information regarding his condition is available.
In the post’s caption, Ragusa provided an update on how Rudy Giuliani, father to Andrew Giuliani (aged 38) and Caroline Giuliani (aged 35) with ex-wife Donna Hanover, has been faring following the recent event.
In his own words, I share that I’ve endured several setbacks yet remain optimistic, buoyed by the remarkable progress I’m making in recovery. I extend heartfelt gratitude to all for their unwavering prayers and encouragement – a source of strength during these challenging times.
In a different post on X, Ragusa stated that the event wasn’t a deliberate assault, and he urged internet users to avoid propagating baseless conspiracy theories.
In my expert opinion, as I spoke with The New York Post, I shared that Rudy Giuliani – often referred to as “America’s mayor” due to his remarkable leadership in New York following the September 11 attacks in 2001 – is anticipated to stay in the hospital for another couple of days. Upon discharge, he will need to wear a brace to support his healing broken vertebrae.
“The mayor is in great spirits,” Ragusa told the outlet. “He’s a beast. He survived 9/11.”
In the meantime, Guiliani’s son voiced his appreciation for the countless messages of support they’ve received following the incident.
He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contacted him after hearing the news about his father, posting on X that your prayers are incredibly valuable to him. As a son, he proudly states that his dad is the most hardened individual he’s ever encountered!
