Since its announcement last year, Lords of the Fallen 2 has been planned for release in 2026. Now, we might have a more specific timeframe.
The action RPG is currently planned to launch in August, according to the game’s lead systems designer. He announced on his personal website that the release is expected next month.
The information was taken down quickly, but Reddit users managed to capture a screenshot of it first.
It’s important to remember that information like this isn’t always correct. Sometimes it’s simply a mistake, or the predicted release date could be old news. Internal goals often change as development progresses, and that’s perfectly normal.
August looks like a good time to release Lords of the Fallen 2, but they’ll likely want to avoid launching too close to Phantom Blade Zero, which is coming out on September 9th. Currently, August doesn’t have many major game releases planned.
I’m really excited about this game! It’s called Lords of the Fallen, and it actually had a bit of a rocky start when it first came out. But the developers, Hexworks, really listened to feedback and made a ton of awesome improvements after launch. Plus, it looks like it’s going to be part of the PS Plus Essential lineup next month, which is a great surprise!
We’re optimistic that the developers’ past successes will translate well to Lords of the Fallen 2, especially since the game has already looked impressive in its trailers.
