As a huge fan of MachineGames, I’ve always loved how they handle action – especially when it involves taking down Nazis! They just proved with Indiana Jones how talented they are, and now it sounds like they’re getting back to the series that really put them on the map: Wolfenstein. I’m so excited!
The developer previously contributed to the popular games Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, and reports from both Windows Central and Kotaku indicate that a third major installment is now in development.
The team stumbled a little with Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which emphasized cooperative play. This happened during a difficult period for Bethesda, right before Microsoft bought them. We’ll consider that game a bit of a mistake and move on.
As you might expect from this report, there isn’t much new information – we just know the project is still being worked on. We’ve heard rumors about a new Wolfenstein game before, so this isn’t a surprise.
Since Indiana Jones came out very late in 2024 and then was released on PlayStation 5 last year, we anticipate the next installment won’t be available until 2027, at the soonest.
But are you down for a new Wolfenstein? Fire off freely in the comments section below.
