According to trusted sources, the creators of Uncharted, Naughty Dog, have been considering making a new game in the series for some time now. Industry insider Tom Henderson is the source of this information.
During an appearance on the Insider Gaming podcast, Jeff Henderson mentioned that Naughty Dog has considered developing a new Uncharted game on multiple occasions.
A photo from a recent research trip sparked some online discussion, leading people to believe a new Uncharted game might be in development.
According to Henderson, Naughty Dog has considered making another Uncharted game for a while now.
He mentioned that Naughty Dog had begun planning a fifth Uncharted game before the COVID-19 pandemic, but he doesn’t know the details of what they had in mind for the story.
Naughty Dog is currently working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a brand new sci-fi game set in a universe that blends retro and futuristic styles.
It’s very likely a different team at the studio is working on a new game, and another Uncharted title would be a smart choice, given how popular and successful the series has been for Sony.
