About
This is a game inspired by the well-known Fuji TV program, “Run for Money.” In this game, participants take on the role of Runners who aim to amass winnings by successfully evading the Hunters that have been released into a confined space, with their escape times determining their prizes.
In this new installment of the series, you’ll find an exciting addition called “Hunter Mode,” where players can strive to be the top hunter. Plus, it offers multiplayer functionality, allowing players to challenge opponents from all over the nation online and climb the global rankings.
Experience Realistic Escape Action Just Like the TV Show
The game progression goes like this: Initially, the runners have an early advantage to flee, while the hunters are set free 30 seconds later. Throughout their escape, the runners collect prize money proportional to the duration of their evasion. They’re free to give up at any moment and keep the amount of prize money they’ve amassed so far. If the runners manage to evade capture by a hunter within the 15-minute timeframe, they are deemed to have successfully escaped. However, if a runner is caught by a hunter, it means “Game Over!” The challenge lies in managing to elude the hunters until the very end.
A Series First: Become the Hunter in Hunter Mode
For the initial time within the series, “Hunter Mode” allows players to assume the role of a Hunter, a dream for many, as they pursue and apprehend evasive targets known as Runners. Now, you can live out your Hunter fantasy! Track down Runners, capture them, and strive to become the most accomplished Hunter yet. Additionally, updated versions of Hunters will also be encountered.
A Series First: Hunters vs. Runners Mode
Introduced for the first time in the series is a game mode titled “Hunters vs. Runners,” which allows players to select either a Hunter or Runner role. In this scenario, the Hunters, who have become uncontrollably powerful and are rampaging, must be stopped by the Runners. The Runners gather weapons during missions and use them to launch an offensive against the Hunters. In the multiplayer mode called “Online VS,” a maximum of 12 players can participate simultaneously (with four Hunters and eight Runners). Will it be the Hyper Hunters Army or the Runners who emerge victorious?
A Series First: Online VS
The game now offers an “Online VS” option, enabling as many as 12 players to engage in competition for the first time within this series. Players can either connect with others through seamless matchmaking or challenge their friends. All five “Runners Mode” and “Hunters vs. Runners Mode” levels are available to play online.
Compete Against Players Across the Country in the Online Leaderboards
As a dedicated gamer, diving into “Hunter Mode,” I found myself competing against time, where my rank was solely dependent on how swiftly I could conquer each stage.
On the other hand, in the thrilling “Hunters vs. Runners Mode,” my ranking was all about accumulating as much prize money as possible, whether it be from offline or online battles. This mode truly tested my gaming prowess!
High-Variety Game-Original Stages
Each battle stage is unique! In total, there are five stages: “Wonderland,” “Diversity,” “Fantasy,” “The Airport,” and “The Pier.” The events that unfold in each stage will initiate different tasks, and by successfully completing those tasks, your escape may become more manageable. For example, the escape area might expand or barriers could be set up to prevent Hunters from being released.
Series Mainstays Return
Certainly, fan-favorite features are set to make a comeback. Among these will be the “GameShare” and “Local Multiplayer Mode,” allowing up to four players to enjoy the game together. Additionally, expect a challenging experience with “Hard Mode” and its corresponding “Hyper Hunters,” who boast improved performance. Lastly, keep an eye out for “Trophies” and “Hunter Figurines” collection opportunities.
