It’s certainly unexpected to be reporting that RuPaul’s show, a massive international success, is now connected to a disaster film!
What’s the RuPaul’s disaster film about?
“STOP! THAT! TRAIN!” is a funny, over-the-top comedy directed by Adam Shankman. The movie follows a group of drag queens on a hilariously chaotic train trip. Best friends Tess (Ginger Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee) are train attendants who swap their boring jobs for a glamorous, high-speed train called the Glamazonian Express. When a disaster threatens to derail the train, they team up with the snooty first-class staff and President Gagwell (RuPaul) to save the day in this wild and funny adventure.
Who’s in RuPaul’s disaster film?
Joining RuPaul are fellow drag stars Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Latrice Royale, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Monét X Change, and Symone. In a new movie based on the popular MTV drag queen competition, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia, and Symone play train attendants. The screenplay was written by Connor Wright and Christina Friel.

Director Adam Shankman hopes the new film will give audiences a much-needed laugh, joking that anyone who doesn’t find it hilarious might be related to the Grinch! He shared that making the film, STOP! THAT! TRAIN!, was a blast, thanks to the incredibly funny and enthusiastic cast and crew, and they’re excited for everyone to see it.
The film is set for a 29th May 2026 in the US with international release dates to be confirmed.
