City Connection and Clear River Games have announced that RUSHING BEAT X: Return of Brawl Brothers will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam) starting March 19, 2026.
In Japan, the game will cost 5,980 yen for the PlayStation 5 version and 6,980 yen for the Nintendo Switch 2 version. The Switch 2 version will be sold on a physical game card, not a digital code.

A special limited edition will be available for 7,980 yen on PlayStation 5 and 8,980 yen on Switch 2. This edition includes a SteelBook case, a “RUSHING BEAT X Super Secret Encyclopedia” with a music CD, and a special collector’s box.

About
The city of Neo-Cisco has repeatedly faced crises – from organized crime to a dangerous virus – but a dedicated group of heroes has always managed to restore order. Now, a powerful new threat has emerged, and this small band must uncover who is truly responsible for all the trouble that has plagued their city.
The classic beat ’em up Rushing Beat is back from Jaleco! It features updated moves, weapons, and characters, plus a brand-new two-player co-op story mode that lets you experience double the action!
Action
Okay, as a fan, let me tell you, this game makes it SO easy to pull off awesome combos, even if you’re new! You can link together counters, follow-up attacks, and even weapon strikes to create your own unique chains. What’s really cool is that you can cancel almost any move with a dash or jump, letting you keep the combos going and going. Seriously, once you get the hang of canceling, you can unleash some seriously impressive attack strings!
You can use different throwing techniques to launch enemies. Throwing them into the background will break objects that are normally out of reach, potentially rewarding you with new items!
As you attack enemies or get hit, your rage meter will fill up. Once it’s full, you’ll enter rage mode, becoming stronger and more resilient. You’ll also unlock a powerful finishing attack called “Beat Rush.” Use this furious power to defeat your foes!
Chapters
Fight through diverse environments – from shopping malls and slums to subways and research labs – as you work to uncover the truth and save the city! Take on optional side missions with unique challenges and special stage elements along the way.
Characters
To win, you’ll need to learn how to fight with each character, including returning favorites like Rick Norton and Douglas Bild, as well as new faces. You’ll unlock even more fighters as you play. Team up with a friend in two-player co-op to create the ultimate fighting duo and discover powerful combinations!
Food
At the Tuff E Nuff food truck – which also acts as a checkpoint during races – you can mix and match different food items. Creating a meal with three foods boosts your health recovery and might even give you extra benefits! Combining foods is the best way to power up, both in battle and when you’re trying to heal.
