Just days after the release of Project Hail Mary, Ryan Gosling appears in another new film, further demonstrating his range as a captivating actor. While Project Hail Mary is currently a box office hit, audiences can already see Gosling in a different role on the big screen.
Ryan Gosling, known for his strong acting in many popular films, is now trying something new with the science fiction movie, Project Hail Mary. The film, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, centers around Ryland Grace, who wakes up on a spaceship with no idea who he is or how he got there. As his memories come back, he discovers he might be the only one who can save Earth.
Project Hail Mary is receiving a lot of praise, with many highlighting Ryan Gosling’s performance as the heart of the story, perfectly capturing its themes of loneliness and exploration. Although it’s his most prominent role right now, he’s actually appearing in another film in theaters currently.
Gosling Has An Easy To Miss Part In They Will Kill You
Ryan Gosling’s band, Dead Man’s Bones, has a song featured in the new horror movie, They Will Kill You. The song, “Lose Yourself,” originally appeared on the band’s 2009 album. Dead Man’s Bones is a rock duo formed by Gosling and Zach Shields, and they’re known for their spooky, dramatic sound, often inspired by ghost stories and the supernatural.
The band’s album gained a dedicated, passionate fanbase due to its unique style and powerful emotions. The song “Lose Your Soul” perfectly complements the eerie mood of the film They Will Kill You, subtly adding to important scenes without being distracting. Directed by Kirill Sokolov, They Will Kill You tells the story of a former prisoner who finds work as a housekeeper in a strange apartment building in New York City.
They Will Kill You is a unique film that mixes horror, dark humor, and action, resulting in a quirky and unsettling vibe. This style perfectly complements the spooky and atmospheric music of Dead Man’s Bones, and it’s not the first time their songs have been featured in a movie.
I was so excited to recognize one of the tracks from the French film Age of Panic! And I remembered another song, “In the Room Where You Sleep,” really taking off after being used in The Conjuring. Ryan Gosling’s involvement here is understated, but it’s really cool to see another side of his artistry beyond acting. It’s a neat little detail for those of us who pay attention and appreciate his work as a whole.
Ryan Gosling will be connected to two movies released very close together in March 2026: Project Hail Mary comes out on March 20th, and They Will Kill You on March 27th. While he has a major role in Project Hail Mary, his appearance in They Will Kill You is much smaller.
As a movie fan, I think it’s really cool to see Ryan Gosling in two films at almost the same time! It doesn’t happen often – especially when one is a big sci-fi movie and the other is something a little more niche. It just shows how versatile he is as an artist, not just as an actor. He really picks interesting projects!
