ChatGPT, created by OpenAI, is currently the world’s most widely used chatbot. Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, suggested that OpenAI had a two-year head start in developing the chatbot without significant competition, which helped explain its success and advantage over other companies.
Even OpenAI CEO Sam Altman indicated that he barely does Google searches anymore.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff recently announced he’s stopped using ChatGPT, switching to Google’s new Gemini 3 model. He cited Gemini 3’s improved reasoning skills, faster performance, and ability to handle images and videos as the reasons for the change, calling it a significant step forward in artificial intelligence.
Gemini 3 is more powerful and can now understand what you’re asking it to do even better. For example, it can take a lengthy video lesson and automatically create flashcards to help you learn and remember the information.
Gemini 3 isn’t just available in its own app. You can also use it with other Google products like Search’s AI features and AI Overviews.

Additionally, this model is better at avoiding overly agreeable responses and is more protected against malicious prompts. Elon Musk, CEO of both OpenAI and Tesla, publicly praised the Gemini team following the model’s successful release.
It will be fascinating to observe whether Gemini 3 can significantly reduce ChatGPT’s dominance, particularly given the underwhelming release of OpenAI’s GPT-5 and the recent, debated decision to discontinue support for GPT-4o, which appeared to worsen the chatbot’s performance.
