Ang Lee’s 2003 film, Hulk, starring Eric Bana, is currently gaining popularity on HBO Max around the world. According to data from FlixPatrol, the movie is now a top 4 trending title in several countries, including Serbia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Hulk film starring Elliott as General Ross is currently popular on HBO Max in several European countries. It’s the #3 most-watched movie in Slovakia and #5 in Hungary. Viewership is also rising in the Czech Republic, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, and Poland, where it’s now ranked at #7 on the streaming service.
Okay, so here’s the deal with Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk. You can’t find it streaming on major US platforms right now, but it is available to rent on demand. And honestly, its sudden reappearance feels pretty timely. Plans for a sequel were made, but ultimately, Universal Pictures decided to restart the franchise. Similar to Edward Norton, Eric Bana only played the Hulk once. Mark Ruffalo took over the role in 2012’s The Avengers and has been playing Hulk in Marvel movies ever since. Although Ruffalo isn’t getting his own Hulk movie, he’ll be appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day this summer alongside Tom Holland.
The movie Hulk currently has a 63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 238 critic reviews. However, audiences haven’t been as kind, giving it a score of just 29% on the Popcornmeter.
