Sam Faiers’ long-term partner Paul Knightley may be ‘dragging his feet’ on proposing as he’s ‘struggling with the dynamic’ of TOWIE star’s soaring success in business

It seems that Sam Faiers’ long-term partner, Paul Knightley, might be taking his time before popping the question.

In 2014, the reality TV personality, aged 34, and her longtime partner, a real estate developer, have been a couple and are parents to Paul (9 years old), Rosie (7 years old), and Edward (3 years old).

Over the years following her partnership, Sam has significantly grown her business empire, earning a reputation as a successful entrepreneur. It’s estimated that her wealth hovers around £9 million, primarily due to her companies Revive Collagen and The Sam Faiers Edit, a line she created for Tesco’s kids’ range.

Initially, the series was known as “Knightley’s Adventures,” a title inspired by her boyfriend’s last name, and reports suggest that Paul felt let down when his name was removed from it according to The Sun.

Reportedly, Paul has been hesitant to propose due to several factors, including the name change and the challenge he faces in adapting to her rapidly growing business success, which seems to be a significant shift for him.

I’ve generally taken things at a leisurely pace, unlike some individuals who prefer to tie the knot before starting a family. However, that approach wasn’t part of our plans either.

This past Valentine’s Day, the pair seemed to be more deeply in love than before, as they indulged in a delightful romantic retreat at Soho Farmhouse.

Sam posted several enchanting photos from her rustic getaway lodge, and it seemed like they just couldn’t resist touching one another as they exchanged a tender kiss within their hotel room.

Later on, she posted a magnificent mirror selfie, showcasing her entire look in a relaxed designer attire, accompanied by a large bouquet of pink, green, and white blossoms.

The following day, Sam appeared refreshed as she removed her clothes to take a picturesque bath surrounded by a bouquet of flowers.

Afterward, they embarked on a charming bicycle trip through the countryside, leading them to Daylesford farm. There, the couple delighted in exploring the array of organic goods and sampled a delicious stone-baked pizza.

As the day wound down, Paul chose to light up the wooden-burning fireplace at their lodging, creating a snug atmosphere that the pair savored throughout the night.

Sam captioned the snaps: ‘My kind of therapy.’ 

However, in the year 2023, it was disclosed that Sam hasn’t slept in the same bed with Paul for a period of six consecutive years, as she mentioned they each reside in separate rooms and share space with their respective children.

On the Parenting Hell podcast, she mentioned that for the past six years, she and her partner, Paul, have been sleeping in different rooms rather than sharing a bed with one another.

Currently, I’m in the extra bedroom with Edward. After putting him into his crib, he’s still in this room, only the two of us here together.

Instead, she shared with hosts Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett that her older kids share the master bedroom with their father, Paul. This is a long-standing habit the family has yet to break away from.

Before little Edward arrived, it was much like adding another ‘2’ to the equation – essentially having an additional adult and a constant child.

‘And we’ve never kind of gotten out of it.’

Upon being inquired about how they conceived two additional children while abstaining from physical intimacy, Sam playfully confessed that they found creative ways, explaining, “I suppose you need to think outside the box. It somehow functions, though it’s becoming increasingly challenging these days.

She talked about her concerns regarding sleeping next to her boyfriend again, whom she started dating back in 2014.

I ponder over it, and I must admit, I’m a bit uncertain. You see, I truly adore Paul, and I’m known for my warmth and affection. However, he tends to stay up late – which is quite the opposite of my bedtime routine. So when he comes in, it feels like watching football highlights at an odd hour.

The screen is quite large and luminous, but I dislike falling asleep with the television running. If it were up to him and me, he would turn on the TV, possibly forgetting to turn it off before drifting into slumber.
