According to our sources, Sam Thompson and Samie Elishi have parted ways following the end of their two-month relationship. We’ve learned that their romance seemed to lose momentum, or as we might say, it petered out.
32-year-old cast member from Made In Chelsea began dating Samie, a 25-year-old known for being on Love Island, in April. The duo was later seen locking lips after they attended Olivia Attwood’s birthday celebration.
Since his split from long-time partner Zara McDermott, 28 (now in a relationship with ex-One Direction member Louis Tomlinson), Sam had never before ventured into public dating until this recent relationship.
It was verified that the couple chose not to advance their relationship anymore because of their demanding work commitments. In the past few weeks, Sam has successfully completed a 260-mile endurance test and raised more than £1.6million for UNICEF, a charity he supports.
2025 started off challenging for the previous I’m A Celeb champion, but participating in the massive undertaking – carrying last year’s Soccer Aid match ball from London’s Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford – provided him with the concentration required to conquer his early-year struggles.
Simultaneously, Samie – the acquaintance Sam had presented to his close friend and fellow Staying Relevant host Pete Wicks – has been globetrotting for different brands since her participation in Love Island: All Stars earlier this year. Among these destinations are Mykonos, Greece, where she went with Space NK.
According to a source, the relationship between Sam and Samie simply ran out of steam. They had a strong initial attraction, but their demanding schedules made it challenging for them to have meaningful time together.
For Sam, his recent split from Zara marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, and currently, he seems more focused on devoting time to his professional pursuits instead of entering into another serious relationship.
After Sam’s breakup with Samie, it occurred that this decision might have been influenced by his sister Louise’s opinion about who he should be dating.
On the Staying Relevant podcast, which recently received an award at the TRIC Awards, Louise suggested, “It might be intriguing to date someone who works in a regular occupation, away from the media world. Why not give it a try?
You could benefit from having someone who challenges you a bit, someone who isn’t afraid to express their opinions and keeps you accountable. A relationship shouldn’t always be about one person’s way; it should be more balanced than that.
Louise suggested, “By the way, if you’re aiming for fame, could you please find someone compatible for me, preferably a youthful, British actress, similar to Emma Watson.
A supporter responded to the ex-Chelsea player’s remarks on the podcast by expressing that she hadn’t held a fond affection for Zara all along.
But Louise hit back, saying: ‘I have to interject here. I actually really adored Zara.’

According to TopMob, Sam and Zara parted ways after spending New Year’s Day apart, marking an end to their five-year relationship that they had celebrated during the holiday season.
Due to the unique living arrangement where her fiancé Ryan, along with his mother Louise and their young son Leo, reside just next door to her former boyfriend Sam in West London, Zara developed a particularly strong bond with her ex-boyfriend’s family.
Initially seen with singer Louis in March, the previous Love Island contestant who now produces documentaries was later observed vacationing with him in both Los Angeles and Costa Rica.
Despite the apparent strains in their romantic relationships, Sam and Louis participated in this month’s Soccer Aid event.
Video clips showing Louis seeming to disregard Sam went viral on TikTok, following their encounter after the game, where the ex-boy band member gave a dismissive expression and intentionally avoided the celebrated footballer from Chelsea.
Following the completion of his UNICEF task, Sam pondered: ‘Never have I felt both incredibly low and incredibly high simultaneously… One point I’d like to make is that from a mental standpoint, I can hardly imagine a more opportune moment for me to take on this challenge.’
On Thursday, I let go of a great deal along that road; it was an incredibly liberating moment for me, one of the most mentally liberating experiences I’ve ever encountered throughout my life.
