Sandra Bullock Shares Rare Image of Her Kids in Mother’s Day Tribute

For Sandra Bullock, motherhood is practically magic. 

This year, 61-year-old Angelina Jolie gave a rare glimpse of her two youngest children: son Louis, who she adopted in 2010 when he was three, and daughter Laila, who joined the family in 2015 at just over two years old.

Sandra wished all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day in an Instagram post on May 10th, writing that regardless of their individual journeys, motherhood is a special honor.

Sandra shared an old photo with a heartfelt caption. The picture shows a sweet moment with her two children: Louis, dressed as a little gentleman in a top hat and cape, sitting on her lap, and baby Laila, wearing a sunny sunflower dress, held lovingly in her arms.

I recently shared some really special photos, and I wanted to tell you about them. Along with one of my favorite memories, I posted a sweet picture of my grandmother, and another with my mom, Helga Mathilde, and my sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado. Family means everything, and these photos really capture that for me.

She thanked her mom and grandmother, saying she missed them. Then, with a playful tone, she apologized for being difficult when she was younger.

Sandra Bullock, who lost her partner Bryan Randall in 2023, generally keeps her children, Louis and Laila, private and avoids bringing them to public events. However, she often talks about her experiences as a mother.

Speaking on Red Table Talk in 2022, she explained she didn’t understand why adoption had to happen in that specific way, but she was grateful for the timing. Even though she was excited and impatient, she felt like the universe was telling her to slow down and that things wouldn’t happen according to her plan.

And with each of her children, joining her family felt meant to be. 

I’ll never forget when Sandra adopted Louis. It was back in 2010, not long after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. She actually told Today that she just knew her child was somewhere in the aftermath. It sounds strange, but she said she had this feeling, this certainty, that Louis was there and needed her.

The Blind Side actress felt a similar premonition when she met Laila for the first time.

In a 2015 interview with People magazine, she said she truly believed Laila was meant to be in her life.

It’s a bittersweet feeling – I wouldn’t be who I am today without experiencing that loss, and I feel her presence in all the joy we share.

The actress celebrated being a mom to daugher Tove, with husband Charlie McDowell. 

She wrote on Instagram, ‘Being your mom brings me so much joy.’ She also sent love to all mothers and those acting as mothers, and acknowledged those who are hurting today, especially those grieving the loss of a mother or the dream of motherhood. She ended by saying that everyone is a superhero in her eyes, no matter how they’re experiencing the day.

As a mom, I totally get wanting to share special moments with your kids. Kim recently posted a really sweet video celebrating all four of her children – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – and it was clear how much love there is for them all, even with everything going on with Kanye.

She captioned the post, “My babies!!! Thank you for choosing me to be your mom.

Justin Timberlake honored his wife, and all the mothers in his life, with a Mother’s Day message on Instagram. He and his wife share two sons, 11-year-old Silas and 5-year-old Phineas, and he called the women in his life “the greatest.”

Khloé Kardashian’s Mother’s Day began happily with her children, 8-year-old True and 3-year-old Tatum, whom she shares with her ex, Tristan Thompson.

Tom Brady shared a special tribute to Bridget Moynahan, the mother to his 18-year-old son Jack. 

The former NFL star also praised his ex-wife, with whom he shares kids Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13.

Kris Jenner posted a heartfelt message honoring both her mother, Mary Jo Campbell, and her children.

She shared that being a mother and grandmother is the most fulfilling part of her life, bringing her immense joy, love, and a sense of purpose. She expressed deep gratitude for her own mother, who instilled in her the values of unconditional love, resilience, and family devotion. She also shared how incredibly proud she is of her daughters and the wonderful mothers they’ve become.

The Hunger Games alum shared a sweet shoutout to his wife Lauren Ludwig, with whom he shares two kids.
