Sara Bareilles and Joe Tippett are writing a love song together for the rest of their lives. 

Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s HAPPENED! My absolute *favorites*, the stars of *Waitress*, are officially married! After nine years together, they finally shared a peek at their wedding, and it was everything I dreamed it would be! I’m seriously so happy for them!

In an Instagram post on October 7th, Sara announced something wonderful had happened, expressing her love for her partner and gratitude for the support of their community. She said she felt incredibly lucky and thankful.

The couple got married in an intimate backyard wedding. They used rugs to create an aisle, and their cute dog had the important job of bringing the rings!

Sara looked radiant in an ivory dress with a flattering V-neck, intricate jewel detailing, and a stylish leg slit. She completed her bridal ensemble with a headband and heeled sandals. Joe, for his part, chose a navy suit paired with an orange floral tie and brown loafers.

Although Sara didn’t find out about their wedding until after it happened, Joe had been subtly suggesting they’d soon be married for weeks. The wedding took place on October 5th.

Joe announced on October 5th with a heartwarming photo of him and Sara in an embrace that he was marrying his best friend. He expressed a wish for that kind of happiness for everyone, writing, ‘May We All Be So Lucky.’

He recently posted a picture of his wife at city hall, standing in front of the sign for marriage licenses. He jokingly captioned it, saying they were getting property assessed.

Sara hasn’t hesitated to publicly express her affection for her husband, just like she is in person.

Oh my gosh, I wrote this for Joe’s birthday, and it just… it all came out! I basically told him he *is* my whole life. Like, he’s everything exciting and unpredictable, but also the thing that keeps me afloat when things get rough. He’s the chaos *and* the calm, the beauty after the rain… everything! And honestly? The more I get to know him, the more completely and utterly I fall for him. It’s like there’s an endless amount to discover, and I can’t wait to find out everything!

The couple first got engaged in 2022, after meeting in 2015 when Joe auditioned for the musical *Waitress*. The actress, known for *Girls5eva*, recently reminisced about their sweet and charming first encounter.

She told *People* magazine in April that she met her future husband through this project, calling it a wonderful thing. She also expressed how much it meant to her to perform alongside Joe.
