Sarah Paulson is honoring an icon and friend.

The actress from All’s Fair recently revealed a new tattoo honoring Diane Keaton, just three months after Keaton’s passing. The tattoo was shared on what would have been Keaton’s 80th birthday.

On January 5th, the American Horror Story star shared a photo of a tattoo and a silhouette of her with Diane, writing, “You would have been 80 today.” She continued, expressing that she had too many emotions to fully capture in words, but recalling how lucky she was to have shared so many experiences with Diane – traveling, laughing until they cried, watching countless movies, and simply enjoying each other’s company, especially over french fries. She finished with a heartfelt tribute, calling Diane “wondrous, singular, YOU” and saying she would miss her forever.

She thanked her friend, @winterstone, for a gift that will always remind her of their special bond, saying, “Thank you for my forever reminder, of one of my forever people.” She appreciated the thoughtful gesture and its lasting meaning.

Sarah, with tears in her eyes, explained how she would have replied to the actress from The Family Stone if she were still alive and had received another email.

With tears in her eyes, she said, “I’m so sorry my voicemail was always full, and that I wasn’t always able to answer when you called. The world just hasn’t been the same without you, and I wish I could tell you everything that’s happened in the last 54 days.”

Oh my god, she said it! She actually said it! It was like she was speaking directly to me. After everything, she just gave this little nod, like she remembered all of us, and then… then she said, ‘But most of all, thank you.’ Thank you for being my friend! It was Sarah Paulson, the Sarah Paulson, and she ended it with ‘Please call.’ Can you believe it? Please call… like she really meant it! I’m going to replay that moment forever.
