All rise for the All’s Fair trailer.
Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor, and Naomi Watts impressed viewers with their stylish appearances and sharp wit in the first trailer for the new legal drama.
The show follows a group of talented divorce lawyers who decide to start their own firm after leaving a traditionally male-dominated workplace. These strong, intelligent women handle messy and high-profile divorces, uncovering secrets and dealing with complicated relationships – not only with their clients, but also with each other.
This change is clearly harsh, and Sarah’s character highlights it with a sarcastic comment. She jokes that her new appearance, which is almost identical to Kim’s, is just a preview of her Halloween costume – a provocative take on a lawyer.
Ryan Murphy created the show *All’s Fair*, which follows a law firm comprised entirely of women in California. While Kim is used to being on camera, this role is a significant change for her. The show’s creator specifically wanted Kim – who is also studying law herself – to star in the series, having previously worked with her on the 2023 season of *American Horror Story: Delicate*.
And Ryan’s pitch meeting was documented on a 2024 episode of The Kardashians.
I remember when I first pitched the idea for *All’s Fair* to Kim. The reaction was incredible! They were so impressed with her, they actually reached out to *me* asking if she’d be interested in headlining her own show. I told her then, and I truly believe it, that the show had the same core appeal as *Sex and the City* – it’s all about the power of female friendship.
Ryan explained that people going through a divorce often become very close to their lawyers and share a lot with them. He added that the show will focus on the strong connection between women supporting each other through a difficult time.
Their connection appears to have extended beyond the show itself. Kim’s colleagues have consistently spoken highly of her, praising her work and character.
“I was so impressed by Kim,” Glenn, 78, told TopMob Newsin May. “I say that absolutely sincerely.”
The veteran actress, nominated for an Oscar eight times, added that the person in question is kind, well-prepared, and surrounded by a strong team, which speaks volumes about her character.
Meanwhile, Sarah, 50, said she was most surprised by how “funny” Kim was on set.
I laughed a lot while working with her,” the regular cast member of *American Horror Story* shared with TopMob in August. “She’s very down-to-earth and a lot of fun – I really enjoyed working with her.”
