Housemarque, along with actor Rahul Kohli, recently shared a new trailer for their upcoming game, Saros. The trailer showed off some of the characters players will meet in the game’s setting, Carcosa. Unfortunately, they also announced that Saros is now scheduled to release on April 30th, 2026.
You can now pre-order the game! The Standard Edition is $69.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $79.99 and includes three free armor sets – Onryo, Astra, and Midgard – plus 48 hours of early access. Many fans have noticed that two of these armor sets are inspired by other popular PlayStation games.
Saros is a new game launching only on PlayStation 5. It’s heavily inspired by Returnal, offering a similar gameplay experience where you repeatedly explore the same areas while trying to break free from the mysterious city of Carcosa. Even though it’s built with the latest Unreal Engine 5, Saros will still feature the unique and unsettling creature designs – including the ‘tentacle technology’ – that fans of Housemarque have come to expect.
