Following a recent wave of departures, five new comedians are now joining the cast of Saturday Night Live.
Season 51 started off with a lot of laughs! It introduced five fresh faces to the cast, and also welcomed back familiar comedians like Marcello Hernández and Bowen Yang.
“The show consistently attracts viewers of all ages and from various generations, and that’s how it stays fresh,” explained Entertainment Tonight’s Lorne Michaels.
It’s tough whenever someone leaves, but it’s a natural part of things. Our audience has consistently been on the younger side, and that’s even more true with TikTok’s popularity, but embracing change is positive. I’m genuinely enthusiastic about the new people joining the team.

Tommy Brennan
Age: 31
Job: Stand-up comedian

Tommy Brennan is a stand-up comedian known for performing as an opening act for well-known comedians such as Nikki Glaser, Taylor Tomlinson, and the late Louie Anderson.
Prior to joining SNL, Tommy performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jeremy Culhane
Age: 33
Job: Comedian

Jeremy Culhane is a comedian who you might recognize from shows like American Vandal, Heathers, and The Sex Lives of College Girls. He’s previously been featured in all of these.
Since 2021, he has co-hosted the Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists podcast.
Ben Marshall
Age: 30
Job: Comedian

Ben Marshall is a comedian and writer who’s most famous for being a member of the comedy group Please Don’t Destroy.
Ben is already somewhat familiar with SNL, as he began writing for the show in 2021 and has made several appearances in sketches since then.
His other credits include Poker Faces and he is due to appear in Netflix’s 72 Hours.
Kam Patterson
Age: 26
Job: Stand-up comedian

Kam Patterson is a comedian and actor who became well-known after appearing on the Kill Tony stand-up comedy podcast.
He shared the stage with Killy Tony in 2024 and then toured with them in 2025. Following that, he became part of the cast of Netflix’s 72 Hours, working alongside Kevin Hart.
Veronika Slowikowska
Age: 29
Job: Actress and comedian

Veronika Slowikowska is an actress and comedian best known for her funny videos online and her part in What We Do in the Shadows.
Following that, she had a role in I Like Movies and most recently played a leading part with Leighton Meester and Robbie Amell in EXmas.
Her joining the cast of Saturday Night Live is a historic moment – it’s been 29 years, since 1994, that a performer from Canada was added to the show’s team. This makes her the first Canadian cast member hired in nearly three decades.
