Savannah Guthrie’s Halloween costume is very trendy.
The Today show host shared a sneak peek of one of her outfits for this year’s celebrations and joked that she’s feeling… well, 67 years old!
Savannah playfully showed off her outfit in a video. She wore jeans, a black blazer, and a grey hoodie, and as she moved for the camera, she revealed the numbers 6 and 7 painted on the front and back of her body—a visual reference to the sign for the number seven.
Savannah shared a photo on Instagram on October 29th, set to the song “Doot Doot (67)” by Skrilla, and captioned it with, “Halloween costume [check emoji].”
Okay, so Savannah’s costume? Total genius! Everyone at the school event was getting it, you could tell. All the parents were laughing because our kids have been repeating this one phrase non-stop, and one mom actually said, ‘Oh, that’s going to drive our kids wild!’ It was perfect, honestly. I’m still thinking about it!
One parent, Savannah, who shares 11-year-old Vale and 8-year-old Charlie with her husband Michael Feldman, thought it was a great idea to encourage other parents to try it.
One commenter suggested all parents wear the costume together, hoping to put an end to the phrase it references, once and for all.
Savannah’s costume was perfectly timed and current, referencing Dictionary.com’s choice of ‘67’ as Word of the Year. The term gained popularity online thanks to a viral video featuring the “67 Kid” and NBA star LaMelo Ball.
I’ve been following this saying for a while now, and while experts over at that linguistics site admit it’s something special, even they haven’t quite figured out what it all means – which, honestly, is part of its charm! It seems a lot of us adults are still puzzling over it.

According to Dictionary.com, the number 67 is often used to express uncertainty, like saying ‘so-so’ or ‘maybe.’ It’s often accompanied by a hand gesture – alternating palms up and down. Ultimately, what makes 67 unique is that it doesn’t really mean anything – it’s intentionally vague, common, and doesn’t have a clear definition.
Despite everything, people still find value in the word because it helps them connect with each other. As the release explained, the rapid spread of the term—as shown by its use in 67 countries—highlights how quickly new language emerges as younger generations participate in worldwide discussions.
