Savannah Guthrie is asking for support.
Since police confirmed her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, was missing from her Arizona home – which they’ve labeled a crime scene – the Today show anchor has asked for help from the public.
In a recent Instagram post from February 2nd, she shared her beliefs, stating a faith in prayer, the power of unity, and the importance of love, hope, goodness, and humanity. Ultimately, she expressed her belief in God.
Savannah continued, expressing gratitude for everyone’s prayers for her mother, Nancy. She described Nancy as a woman of strong beliefs and a devoted person, and asked for continued prayers, believing they would offer comfort and strength right now.
She reached out to the public, asking for their support, and shared a graphic requesting prayers.
The 54-year-old also quoted a passage from the Book of Isaiah, which has been a source of comfort for her and her family during this difficult time, and ended her message with a plea to “Bring her home.”
Savannah’s post quickly received an outpouring of supportive messages, with many friends, colleagues, and fans saying they were praying for her.
Hoda Kotb shared a message of continuous prayers and love, while Katie Couric sent her love and support to Savannah Guthrie and her family, expressing hope for her mother’s speedy recovery.

Savannah is getting support from her colleagues at Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, particularly Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, who also highlighted how fragile Nancy’s health is.
On her show on February 2nd, Jenna shared that she is personally close to Nancy and expressed concern for her well-being. She explained that Nancy relies on daily medication to stay healthy and is currently without it. Jenna and her team are sending their thoughts and prayers to Nancy, known as Savannah, and her entire family during this difficult time.

Police are also concerned about Nancy’s physical health. Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed she was mentally alert, but stated in a press conference on February 2nd that she wasn’t physically able to leave her house by herself.
According to a Pima County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, investigators think the woman was likely taken from her home against her will, possibly while she was sleeping. They are currently investigating the possibility that she was kidnapped or abducted, as reported on February 2nd.

Savannah Guthrie was born in Melbourne, Australia, the youngest of three children. Her father, Charles Guthrie, was working there temporarily, and the family later moved to Tucson, Arizona, when she was two years old.
I’ve always been so touched by how often the Today show anchor remembers her father. He passed away from a heart attack back in 1988 when she was just sixteen years old. I recall seeing her talk about him beautifully, especially around 2014 when she was pregnant with her first child with her husband, Mike Feldman. It was a really moving tribute.
Savannah described her father as a man of surprising contrasts. He was strong and could be intimidating, but also incredibly loyal, gentle, and loving when it mattered most. People often said he had a vibrant personality that filled any room with energy; he was tall, affectionate, and had a great sense of humor.
She hoped their child would inherit not only Mike’s humor, calm nature, and kindness, but also the honesty and strong moral compass of her own father, who had passed away.

Savannah stayed close to her mother, Nancy, even while attending law school at Georgetown and moving for work to Washington, D.C., and then New York. Nancy has lived in Arizona for over 50 years.
Savannah described her mother, Nancy, as an incredible and admirable person when Nancy turned 70 in 2012. She told Today.com that her mom inspires everyone she meets, and is known for being intelligent, witty, honest, and wise. Nancy also loves having fun and is always eager for new experiences.
In 2015, Savannah took Nancy to Australia, showing her the hospital room at Sandringham where the famous NBC News journalist was born, and their childhood home in Beaumaris.
“I honestly didn’t expect to return to Australia,” Nancy shared during an interview on Today. She described the trip overall as “wonderful.”
“I’m amazed we got all of this done in just three days,” Nancy said. Savannah added, “We really made the most of our time.”

Savannah enjoyed watching her mother with her children, telling Hoda Kotb on Today in 2018 that it was a deeply meaningful experience. She realized she was now seeing the kind of mother her own mom had been with her, appreciating the simple, everyday moments of joy.
She was really impressed with how well Nancy interacted with the children. She realized she appreciated Nancy even more than before, especially because of her lively personality and unique qualities.
In 2022, when Nancy celebrated her 80th birthday, Savannah honored her mother on television, describing her as brave and full of life. She explained that Nancy faced incredibly difficult times with strength, without complaining, and with unwavering belief. Savannah shared that her mother’s fierce love, sacrifices, and steadfast confidence were the foundation for everything her children have achieved.

Nancy was reported missing on February 1, 2026, after she was last seen at her home in Tucson the previous night.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated at a news conference that investigators were processing the 84-year-old woman’s home as a crime scene. While she didn’t have any mental health issues, Sheriff Nanos noted she was in poor physical condition.
Savannah, speaking on February 2nd, shared a statement saying her family appreciates all the support, thoughts, and prayers they’ve received. Their priority is bringing Nancy home safely.
She expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their efforts on the case and asked anyone with information to please reach out to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Savannah’s brother, Camron, is a former military pilot who prefers to keep to himself. However, he appeared in photos on her Instagram account when she celebrated her 50th birthday in 2021.
Savannah shared a heartfelt message on December 27th, celebrating 50 years since a special day with her husband, whom she lovingly calls her ‘treasure,’ and her children, whom she affectionately refers to as her ‘angel babies.’ She also included a shout-out to her mother, Cam, and Annie, who were with her when it all began.

Savannah and Annie are very close, and Annie has frequently appeared on the Today show since Savannah began co-hosting in 2012.
Savannah described her sister, Annie, as essential to her life, saying, “She’s always been there for me, my whole life.” She shared this during a 2017 discussion about the strong connection she and Hoda share with their siblings.
Annie said they were “like the sun and the moon.”
“Her sorrows are my sorrows,” Annie explained, “and her successes are my successes.”
Savannah described herself as outgoing and quick to speak, but she characterized Annie as someone who was more considerate and took time to think things through.

After divorcing her first husband, Mark Orchard, in 2009 following a four-year marriage, Savannah found love again with Michael Feldman, who works as a communications consultant.
The couple got married in Tucson on March 15, 2014. Just two days later, Savannah announced she was expecting their first child, although guests at the wedding had already gotten a hint that weekend.
She expressed feeling fantastic and was thrilled to share the news on her return to Today on March 17th, explaining she was done trying to hide her stomach.

Savannah and Mike welcomed daughter Vale on Aug. 13, 2014.
The Today show host described the baby as having blue eyes, a touch of blond hair, and very full cheeks.
Savannah shared on her blog during her pregnancy that she and her husband liked unique baby names, describing them as a great way to start conversations.

Although Savannah and Mike considered unique baby names, they ultimately named their son, born on December 8, 2016, in honor of Savannah’s father who had passed away.
The mother of two shared in a video on Today a few days after Charles’s birth that she and Vale were overjoyed with the new arrival, bringing a great sense of relief.
Savannah has spoken openly about her difficulties trying to have another child, and she calls her son, Charley, a “medical miracle.”
In a 2018 interview on Today, Savannah shared her parenting philosophy: she believes the most important thing she can do for her children, Vale and Charley, is to focus on personal growth. She explained that being a parent means being truly authentic, as there’s no hiding who you are at home. Therefore, she prioritizes self-reflection and striving to be her best self.
