Scott Adkins, known for his role in John Wick and often considered one of the most underrated action stars, is leading a new, fast-paced action movie. The release date has just been announced! Adkins has consistently delivered exciting, straightforward action films, and with appearances in John Wick: Chapter 4 and the Netflix film The Rip, he’s poised to become even more widely recognized for his incredible martial arts skills.
Scott Adkins’ new action movie, Reckless, centers around a former convict trying to get his cut from a past robbery while staying one step ahead of the police. The film, from the stunt coordinator of Gangs of London and Havoc, Jude Poyer, will premiere on Sky Cinema in the U.K. on February 7, 2026. While it’s not yet known when audiences in the U.S. will be able to see it, this gives action movie fans a release date to look forward to.
The new action film Reckless brings together Scott Adkins and writer Stu Small, who previously collaborated on Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday. Matthew Robert Kelly also co-wrote the script. First-time director Elliott Montello, known for his work on action films like Mob Land and American Siege, helms the project. The cast includes Vinnie Jones, a frequent collaborator with Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch), alongside Nicole Dean, Kris Johnson, Dean Gaffney, Adam Deacon, Jordon Long, and martial arts veteran Mark Strange.

Scott Adkins wowed action fans last year with the thrilling films Prisoner of War and Diablo, and he has several new projects on the way. He’ll star in Bedlam, a historical action thriller where he fights to rescue his sister from an asylum. He’s also teaming up with Iko Uwais (The Raid) in Skyline: Warpath, the next installment in the action-packed Skyline series. Plus, he’s returning for a sequel to his one-take action film, One Last Shot, where his character, Jake Harris, a Navy SEAL, must stop a group of mercenaries – including a former friend – from shutting down America’s missile defense system.

Action star Scott Adkins recently appeared in a major role alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in the Netflix crime thriller, The Rip. He played Affleck’s brother in the film, which was praised for its casting. Directed by Joe Carnahan, The Rip centers around Miami police officers who discover millions of dollars hidden away. It’s currently available to stream on Netflix and has been called “compulsively watchable” by Rotten Tomatoes.
