Scott Wolf’s Ex Kelley Wolf Says She Was Placed Under Psychiatric Hold

Kelley Wolf has given more details about her recent detainment.

Just over a fortnight following a former resident of Real World: New Orleans posting a video of her arrest, she later disclosed that her subsequent hospitalization was actually an enforced psychiatric confinement.

In a now-removed Instagram post from June 23rd, as reported by People, Kelly stated, “I have no mental illnesses or addictions.” She continued, “I’m just a woman who managed to overcome an unwanted 5150 situation and went on my first date in two nights. I’m so nervous! Oh my goodness!

5150 order is an emergency custody procedure in California that can last up to 72 hours and is used to temporarily confine individuals who pose a threat to themselves or others, or are severely impaired due to mental illness, as explained by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). However, Kelley clarified in a later post that she was actually detained in Utah instead of California.

After Kelley posted the video of her being handcuffed, Sergeant Raymond Ormond from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office explained to TopMob News in a statement on June 13 that “She was not taken into official custody. Instead, she was given assistance at a local hospital while we transported her from Sundance resort to the hospital.

Kelley, who recently ended her 21-year marriage with actor Scott Wolf and was subsequently detained three days later, also shared additional information about her psychiatric confinement. Among these details, she mentioned that she had spent time with her daughter prior to the incident.

Later on, I found myself restrained by the police in my preferred location, and against my will, held in an institution that seemed to be a hospital in appearance but felt like a prison in reality, as per Kelley’s June 22 Instagram post. There were no clocks, phones, or natural light available to me there.

She went on saying, “They suggested medicating me – lithium, Seroquel, Xanax. But politely, I refused. Instead, I practiced meditation, deep breathing, and followed the very techniques I’ve long been guiding others to use.

Kelly clarified that the reason for her arrest wasn’t her former partner or father, but rather someone who claimed to be a friend.

“To be clear: I was not suicidal,” she emphasized. “I was not unstable. I am happy and single!”

After getting freed from her obligations, Kelly mentioned that she hasn’t managed to contact Scott, the father of their children – Jackson, aged 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, who is 11 years old.

She posted on Instagram on the 23rd of June, saying she couldn’t reach her family. It looks like they’re enjoying their holiday in Cape Cod. It seems wonderful to be able to go on a vacation instead of being detained unwillingly and losing your freedom.

Despite her recent experiences, though, Kelley noted, “But hey, I’m feeling pretty great!”

TopMob News has reached out to Scott and Kelley for comment but hasn’t heard back.
