Scottie Sheffler’s baby boy made his latest victory un-fore-gettable.

Following his triumph at the 153rd Open Championship held at Royal Portrush Golf Club on July 22, the golfer’s 14-month-old son Bennett, whom he has with Meredith Scudder, was eager to join in the celebration with his father.

During the heartwarming scene at the championship, Scottie was pictured at the 18th hole, clutching the claret jug trophy, while Bennett, the cute toddler equipped with a pacifier, tried to stroll on the green. The little one left spectators in awe when he fell forward and did a small tumble before an open official assisted him up and passed him to his dad.

Overwhelmed with excitement, I couldn’t contain my joy as I hoisted Bennett and that glorious trophy skyward, a testament to our triumph! In this moment of pure bliss, my beloved wife, my partner in everything for five beautiful years, gracefully approached and sealed the celebration with a heartwarming kiss.

As for little Bennett’s run on the green, the 29-year-old admitted it was just par for the course.

During the post-Open conference on July 20, Scottie clarified that the individual was attempting to ascend a rather large hill adjacent to the green. It seemed to me that this might have been his first such challenge, as he struggled and even slipped several times. I felt somewhat sympathetic towards him.

 

Well, that’s all part of the journey and growing experience, I suppose. It’s truly awesome having him around. I can tell he has no idea what’s happening, but he seems eager to be with me. Honestly, it was nice to catch up with him since I hadn’t seen much of him throughout the day, so it’s quite refreshing.
