SEGA has announced that its free-to-play soccer management game, SEGA Football Club Champions 2026, will launch on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 starting January 22nd.
Don’t mistake this game for Football Manager 26 Console, another game from SEGA. While they’re both published by the same company, this new title uses the same technology and game engine as the popular Football Manager series.
Actually, this game is part of a long-running Japanese series called Saka Tsuku, known as Let’s Make a Soccer Team.
The series originally began on the SEGA Saturn and was later expanded to the PlayStation 2. Most recently, new installments were released for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in 2013.

The popular club management game, Saka Tsuku, originally from Japan, is now available worldwide in its newest edition! Join the celebration of 30 years of exciting gameplay, strategy, and passion, brought to you by SEGA!
We’re still figuring out how the game will make money, but the initial release looks solid. It offers a lot of strategic options, lets you build up training areas, and has detailed scouting tools.
