Scream 7 is poised to break a massive box office record.
Initial estimates suggest the new Scream 7 movie will have the biggest opening weekend of any film in the 30-year history of the Scream franchise. The Scream series has told one continuous story since the original film came out in 1996. In the seventh movie, Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, and her family becomes the target of a new Ghostface killer.
So, I was reading over on Deadline that Scream 7 is predicted to pull in around $30-35 million domestically on its opening weekend. That’s huge! Apparently, it would make it the second biggest opening ever for a Scream movie, only beaten by Scream VI, which made almost $45 million. If that happens, it suggests this new one will perform just as well as the last couple of sequels, which is great news for fans like me!
