Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex is weighing in on his prison stay.
The ex-girlfriend of the rap mogul, Virginia “Gina” Huynh, who was earlier known as “Victim 3” during his trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, wrote a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian advocating for his bail prior to his sentencing on October 3.
In Huynh’s letter, which was submitted to the courts on August 3rd and obtained by TopMob News, she explained her long-standing relationship with Combs, both personally and professionally. She also mentioned that she would leverage this knowledge to provide insights into his character, as a father, family man, and businessman, and politely ask the court to allow his release on bond while the case continues.
In her description, she portrayed their relationship as having its ups and downs. However, she noted that the musician was open to admitting his errors and striving for improved choices in the future.
In the years that passed, he took noticeable steps to improve himself and repair the damage he had inflicted, according to Huynh. By the point our relationship concluded, he exhibited an aura of love, understanding, and kindness that was starkly distinct from his past actions. As far as I’m aware, he hasn’t been violent for quite some time, and he has been dedicated to being a devoted father.
Additionally, she emphasized that this trial marks Combs’ initial criminal case. Throughout the investigation and court proceedings, he has demonstrated cooperation, respect, and compliance. Moreover, she does not perceive the 55-year-old father of seven as a threat to her safety or the community at large. She further stated that he holds strong connections within his family and community, with dependents who rely on him for both emotional and financial support.
In summary, after a seven-week long court case in New York, the jury decided that the rapper was guilty of facilitating prostitution but not of sex trafficking or racketeering charges. The penalties for these convictions could result in him spending up to 20 years in prison. However, his legal team is arguing for a sentence ranging from 21 to 27 months, whereas the prosecutors are pushing for a sentence of 51 to 63 months (approximately four to five years), as reported by NBC News.
On July 2nd, Judge Subramanian upheld that Combs will continue to be imprisoned until his sentencing hearing in October. However, on July 29th, Combs’ legal team presented another appeal for bail, a request which the prosecution has expressed opposition towards.
According to Subramanian’s decision in July, he pointed out Combs’ repeated history of violent behavior as justification for his continued imprisonment. Furthermore, Subramanian stated that Combs still poses a threat to others and struggles to abide by the law.

She stated that she’s confident Combs will follow all set rules, ensuring neither his liberty nor the welfare of his family is put at risk. Furthermore, letting him stay at home would aid in the healing process for everyone involved.
TopMob News has attempted to get a response from both Combs’ legal representatives and the public relations contacts for Huynh, but have not received any replies so far.
Originally, Huynh was scheduled to appear as a witness during Combs’ trial. However, just before the trial started, the prosecution mentioned they were having difficulties reaching Victim 3 or her legal representatives. Consequently, Huynh did not end up testifying.
After a seven-week long court case, a jury in New York declared the rapper guilty of facilitating prostitution but cleared him on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. Although he might receive up to 20 years in prison for his convictions, his legal team is aiming for a sentence between 21 to 27 months, while prosecutors have suggested a term ranging from 51 to 63 months (around four to five years), as reported by NBC News.
On July 2nd, Judge Subramanian upheld that Combs must stay in custody until his sentencing hearing in October, despite Combs’ lawyers filing a new bail request on July 29th. This request, however, was met with opposition from the prosecution.
According to Subramanian in his July 2 decision, he kept Combs in custody due to a persistent history of violent behavior. He further stated that Combs remains a threat to others and cannot abide by the law.

Following the acquittal of Sean “Diddy” Combs on charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking (previously associated with Cassie Ventura and an unnamed individual referred to as “Jane” here), he was, however, found guilty of transporting both women for the purpose of prostitution. In response to these verdicts, the singer’s legal representative expressed their thoughts.
The criminal case against Combs began when Cassie Ventura bravely submitted her civil lawsuit in November 2023, as Douglas Wigdor explained to TopMob News on July 2. Although the jury was unable to convict Combs of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a doubt, they did find him guilty of transporting someone for prostitution. By sharing her story, Cassie made a lasting impact on both the entertainment world and the pursuit of justice.
Regarding the accusations for which Combs entered a plea of not guilty, Wigdor reiterated, “We stand firmly behind our client, expressing without hesitation that we trust and admire their bravery demonstrated during this entire court case.
Additionally, Wigdor commended Ventura for her dedication, as she was among the 34 witnesses testified during the 29-day trial of Combs.
I, as a committed advocate, clearly demonstrated resilience, casting light on the dominance of influential men in our vicinity and the longstanding misbehavior that has gone unpunished for years. This instance underscores the urgent need for change, a change we will persistently strive to bring about, standing up for the survivors.
After learning that only three out of five charges against him were not upheld in his federal trial, Combs, who potentially faced life imprisonment if found guilty across all charges, dropped to his knees and bowed his head over a chair, adopting a posture reminiscent of prayer, as reported by NBC News reporters present in the courtroom.
According to reports, Combs’ relatives were present in the courtroom, applauding and celebrating as the verdict was announced for the music executive. Defense lawyers gave each other embraces, while Combs himself hugged his attorney, Brian Steel.
On the 2nd of July, after three days of deliberation, a 12-person jury handed down their decisions on the five federal charges against Combs in his sex trafficking trial. The verdict revealed that Combs was found guilty of two counts: transporting individuals for prostitution involving his ex-girlfriend Ventura and another woman known as “Jane.
In my professional opinion, I’m elated to share that, after standing firm on my innocence, I’ve been acquitted on one charge of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking. The legal journey has been a challenging one, but justice prevailed in this instance.
On the eve of rendering their decisions, the jury informed U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian that they couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge because of irreconcilable viewpoints. Subramanian then encouraged the jurors to persist in their discussions. A verdict was eventually reached just a few hours after deliberations started the following day.
Assistant Attorney Christy Slavik took approximately five hours to present her concluding statements to the jury, during which she contended that Sean “Diddy” Combs employed his power, threats of violence, and instilling fear to achieve his goals.
1. She stated, “He persistently disagrees with ‘no.'”
2. In her words, “He never accepts a refusal.”
3. According to her, “He consistently overrules ‘no’.”
4. As she put it, “He insists upon his own way regardless of ‘no’.”
5. She expressed, “He doesn’t yield to ‘no’.”
1. “His domain was where everyone catered to him.”
2. “It was his court, and all were there to attend upon him.”
3. “Everyone in his realm served him willingly.”
4. “He ruled over a place where obedience was the norm.”
5. “His subjects were there to obey him.”
6. In simpler terms, she said, “He was the boss and everyone worked for him.”
Slavik referred to Combs’ 2016 physical attack on his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and the 2024 alleged assault of another girlfriend, known as “Jane” during the court proceedings.
Slavik brought up Combs’ violent incidents with his former partners – Cassie Ventura in 2016 and an unnamed woman referred to as “Jane” in the upcoming trial.
She pointed out that while these events happened eight years apart, they aren’t standalone narratives. Instead, they are consecutive chapters in the same overarching story – the tale of Sean Combs and the criminal organization he headed, consisting mainly of his close associates.
Repeatedly, this criminal organization catered to the defendant’s needs through a systematic approach involving violence, intimidation, and manipulation,” she explained. “The defendant believed his secrecy and the shame associated with his actions would keep his crimes concealed. He felt that his status, wealth, and influence made him immune to legal consequences.
Slavik asserted that the trial involving Combs was supported by a team of personal assistants, whom he referred to as a “small army.” This team was dedicated to fulfilling Combs’ needs, enhancing his influence, safeguarding his image, and going to great lengths to do so regardless of the cost.
The legal team responsible for prosecuting the case filed a document with Judge Arun Subramanian, asking him to allow changes to some aspects of their arguments related to an alleged attempt at arson and kidnapping.
Despite continuing charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, which encompass accusations of kidnapping and arson, prosecutors have taken out instructions related to the attempted kidnapping as per both California and New York laws, attempted arson under California law, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking from the indictment.
The government expressed its expectation that making the language simpler not only aids in streamlining instructions, but also minimizes potential misunderstandings.
Combs told JudgeSubramanian that he will not take the stand during his sex trafficking trial.
The judge underscored the point that neither the rap mogul’s choice to testify nor not, would allow anyone – be it the jury or others – to infer or imply his guilt based solely on his decision to remain silent.
Combs clarified that it was “entirely” his personal choice to not testify, after discussing the matter with his team.
He informed the judge that after careful consideration, it was his final choice.
In my professional role as a lifestyle advisor, I find myself compelled to share an update on a recent development in our ongoing discourse. As we approach the conclusion of this case, I want to assure everyone that my legal team and the prosecution are meticulously preparing our closing arguments. We anticipate these crucial summaries to span a minimum of four hours each.
After Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Joseph Cerciello concluded his multiple-day testimony on June 24 as a prosecution witness, the defense will now present their case. In contrast to calling additional witnesses, Combs’ team has decided to concentrate on previously submitted evidence.
On June 23, as Ceriello testified, the jury was presented with graphic videos, allegedly originating from Combs’ “freak offs,” that were admitted as evidence.
In the course of his investigation, the special agent observed that there were 50 clearly marked videos dated from both 2021 and 2022. During the trial, the jurors were provided with two video files, which they viewed through headphones and screens.
In the voicemails he left for his ex-chief of staff Kristina Khorram on June 23, Combs outlined several specific demands he had while staying at a hotel in November 2021. Among these requests was a restock of baby oil, a product he frequently used during his “freak offs.
He asked Khorram, “Please give me a call as soon as you start heading over,” and then he exclaimed, “I can’t believe it! I’ve filled up 20 bottles!
In response to Khorram’s request to extend their hotel stay by another day, she said, “Sure thing. The baby oil is placed just outside our door.
Through a group text conversation, it was revealed that his ex-employee had messaged about setting up an intravenous (IV) drip for both him and Jane. This IV drip was apparently utilized in at least one of his “recovery” sessions from intense experiences, as per the content of the group texts.
She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.
The jurors were presented with a sequence of text conversations between Combs and Ventura. In these messages, the artist known as “Long Way 2 Go” openly discussed the impact that the alleged abuse was having on her.
After Combs inquired if Ventura, whom he intermittently dated from 2007 to 2018, was considering a pause in March 2017, she responded, “No. I simply don’t want to be subjected to harsh treatment for being obstinate or any time. You handle me and make me feel insignificant.
In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.
In a message sent in May, Ventura stated, “I offer you love, but as soon as I briefly look away, you cause trouble and pull me down the hallway by my hair. I’m 30 years old now. This isn’t playtime anymore. Last night, I felt like I was already deceased, yet it didn’t seem to be happening to me because witnessing your radiance was so captivating.
In the period spanning from 2022 to 2024, I, Brendan Paul, who was previously an assistant to Combs, confessed under oath that I procured illicit substances for my employer on numerous instances. These substances encompassed marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d put it this way: “In the past, I would communicate with drug dealers via text messages, and they would visit my residence or their own. My introduction to these individuals usually occurred through text exchanges or phone conversations.
However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.
On June 18, Judge Subramanian paused the court proceedings and closed the courtroom as one of the jurors was unwell and absent. Notably, there was no court session held on June 19 due to observance of Juneteenth.
The judge announced that one of our jurors is unwell and couldn’t make it due to dizziness, causing them to return home. We were informed by their partner. Since this juror is part of our regular panel, it seems like we can’t proceed with the trial today.
As a diligent observer, I acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the juror’s sudden onset of vertigo symptoms, including dizziness, nausea, headaches, and more. Recognizing that it might be either a temporary or chronic condition, I decided to keep a close eye on the situation for further development.
Since the court was closed on June 19 for Juneteenth, Judge Subramanian announced that the trial would pick up again on June 20, operating on a shorter schedule from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Following Judge Subramanian’s decision to dismiss Juror No. 6 due to inconsistencies about their residence, another juror might face removal after allegations of an unsuitable discussion about the case with a past coworker emerged. The judge questioned this specific juror and requested them to surrender their phone for examination, as reported by NBC News.
By the close of the court session on June 16, it was yet undecided whether the member would be dismissed.
On June 13th, Kanye West, famously known for his hit “Stronger”, showed up at the New York City courthouse to stand by Combs. Although he was inside the building for approximately 30 minutes, Kanye only stopped by the overflow section and did not step foot in the courtroom itself. The principal room is designated exclusively for Combs’ family, legal representatives, media personnel, and spectators who endure long hours in line to secure a seat.
Jane remembered the dispute they had following her vacation with another hip-hop artist and his spouse in Las Vegas.
In simpler terms, she stated that this incident resulted in observing non-consensual sexual acts, after she requested the services of a man named Anton, who was a sex worker frequently employed by her and Combs. During their trip, they all watched as Anton engaged in sexual activities with a woman in a hotel room.
Jane communicated to Geragos, Combs’ lawyer, that the hip-hop tycoon felt agitated following his accusation that she had attended another man’s “lewd gathering.
On the 21st day of Combs’ trial, Maurene Comey, an assistant U.S. attorney, mentioned that they aim to dismiss one of the 12 jurors.
As a fervent supporter, I must confess, Your Honor, that I hesitated greatly before writing this in your presence, as the jury takes their seats in the New York City courtroom. However, an air of untruthfulness towards the court, which seems to cast doubt on our trust and integrity, is a matter of grave concern for me.
Attorney Alexandra Shapiro, who noted that Juror No. 6 belongs to the black members of the jury, requested a day or two to prepare a written response and thoroughly review relevant court precedents.
In response, Judge Subramanian stated that he would “defer making arrangements” concerning the juror until a decision has been reached.
On June 10, Jane and Garagos had a heated discussion, during which Garagos implied that the witness was exchanging sexual favors for expensive items.
Lawyer Geragos reviewed messages exchanged between Jane and Combs in November 2021, where it appeared that the witness was displeased due to Combs being intimate with other women. The texts suggested that Jane had inquired about whether Combs had given the other woman a Chanel handbag as a post-encounter gift.
Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”
When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”
And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”
Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.
It was stated by Jane that, as of approximately 2022, she thought Combs fit the description of an individual who derives satisfaction from observing their partner engaging in physical intimacy with someone else, following her investigation into their romantic interactions.
She explained that the study helped clarify things for her,” she said, referring to her motivation behind the research. “Simply put, I wanted to explore and fully grasp every aspect of why they found such joy in witnessing their partner with other partners.
It was suggested that Combs’ frequent requests for “hotel nights,” which bear a striking resemblance to Ventura’s “freak offs,” might stem from him exploring his own sexuality due to curiosity.
She stated, “Individuals often labeled as ‘cucks’ might harbor a genuine interest that they feel embarrassed to explore personally. Instead, they might utilize a female companion to investigate this interest without physically engaging in the activity themselves.
Jane stated that she referred to Paul, who they often sought services from, as “Trifecta”. This was due to her likening their relationship’s performance to the impressive basketball careers of well-known players.
“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”
If she found herself in the unfortunate situation of needing to engage in intimate encounters with escorts, she felt somewhat comforted knowing it was with someone who exuded warmth and positivity.)
Jane stated that the relationship between Combs and Khorram was a source of disagreement or conflict during her romantic involvement with the hip-hop magnate.
Jane mentioned that Khorram was often in her presence. She admitted that this dynamic posed challenges for their relationship. It seemed to her that Khorram harbored intense emotions towards her, which significantly impacted the way Sean behaved toward her.
On June 10th, Judge Subramanian rejected a request for a mistrial from Diddy’s legal team. In their argument, his lawyers claimed that Vanessa and her friend Bryana Bongolan were not truthful about the former being suspended over a balcony on the 17th floor by the hip-hop mogul.
In the latest court filing, his legal team asserted that the prosecution had acted improperly by presenting false or dishonest testimony, which they referred to as “misconduct.
The government’s testimony in this trial was found to be misleading or incorrect regarding their claim that Mr. Combs hung Bryana Bongolan over the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. To prevent an unjust verdict, it is recommended that the court declare a mistrial.
Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.
Jane stated that she and Combs had a heated dispute due to his association with a woman significantly younger than himself, an action that prompted Jane to label him as preying on children (pedophile) and forcefully pushing his head against a marble kitchen counter.
According to the witness’s account, she concealed herself in the main bedroom, and Diddy – the head of Bad Boy Records – started forcefully breaking down the door. (Images of the damaged door were submitted as proof.) She claimed that during her attempt to escape, he struck her on the back of her thigh with a kick from the Bad Boy Records founder, causing her to trip.
In my testimony to the prosecution, I described an incident where he restrained me with a chokehold on the ground. He hoisted me up while I struggled to catch my breath, standing on my tiptoes in the process. All I wanted was to break free from his hold.
Jane shared that she dashed out of the house, concealed herself against a wall outside for roughly two hours, expecting him to depart, yet he didn’t. Later on, she recounted that they revisited his residence where she huddled in the backyard as a precaution, claiming Combs assaulted her.
In the heat of the incident, as I testified in court, Puff Daddy, or rather Mr. Combs, reportedly attacked me. He began to pummel my head, followed by kicks, spewing vile words all while continuing his assault.
She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”
She declared, “I replied, ‘No, I’m not. Please go away. Go away. Stop it,'” she stated. However, instead of complying, he seized her by the arm and her hair, forcibly pulling her back towards the house, using both her arm and her hair as leverage.
Following the reported incident, Jane stated that she noticed two swellings about the size of golf balls on her forehead, along with a blackened eye.
Jane stated that Homeland Security executed a raid on her home, which was one among several properties belonging to tycoon Sean Combs, in March 2023. According to her account, authorities arrived at her residence, prompting her to contact Combs’ security chief to inform him of the unfolding events.
It is claimed that the mogul allegedly threatened to expose intimate videos featuring them, intending to share these with the child’s father, in December of 2023.
In the waning stages of my relationship with Combs, he shared with me that he felt he had “nothing more to lose” by disseminating the videos. I bore witness in court, stating that it was an unrelenting barrage of persistent phone calls.
Jane shared with Khorram details of their encounter, which later became part of the court records. In her text messages, Jane mentioned that Combs had warned he would share the video where she claimed to be under the influence of strong drugs.
She mentioned needing some distance from Combs, as she was attempting to process all the distress he had inflicted upon her.
Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.
During her testimony, Jane stated that certain aspects of Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit, which eventually reached a settlement, seemed to echo her personal encounter with Combs.
In my testimony before the jury, I confessed that I came very close to losing consciousness, and I believe I did indeed faint. Among the pages presented, there were three in particular that struck a chord with me, vividly depicting the ordeal I had endured.
Jane, having participated in the “hotel nights,” expressed that it seemed as though she was living through “her personal narrative.” This experience prompted her to communicate with Combs via text messages, leading to a confrontation.
In response to Ventura’s lawsuit, she expressed her feelings by saying, “It seems like I’m reliving my own sexual trauma,” as shown in the presented screenshots. She added that she is unwell and what she’s reading mirrors her drug-filled days and nights. She implied that this was a situation she had foreseen. Furthermore, she accused him of manipulating her, making her feel irrational or insane.
The messages went on, expressing deep discomfort. They implied a sense of being coerced into repeated situations. It seemed like you were making them question their own experiences with past traumas related to sexual violence. This feels incredibly invasive and manipulative, a clear case of taking advantage sexually.
Later on, Jane was referred to by name and a conversation she wasn’t aware of was secretly recorded. This conversation was used as evidence where Combs stated they “performed these actions together” and that he required her “at this time”.
Jane, unaware that she was being taped, informed Combs that she felt “queasy” or “unwell in the stomach” upon reviewing Ventura’s papers.
Jane shared that during her “Hotel Nights” with Combs and male companions, she typically used ecstasy. However, on one particular occasion, she chose to abstain from drugs while engaging in a sexual encounter with three different men.
She stated that she spent the evening with several gentlemen. Later on, she became ill and vomited. At this point, Sean appeared and assured her she’d feel better. He suggested they step outside.
Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
On the 18th day of the trial, Combs’ defense team submitted a request for a mistrial on June 7. They claimed that Ventura and Bongolan had falsely testified that Bongolan was dangled over a 17th-floor balcony by the rap mogul.
Attorneys representing Combs, whose request for a retrial was rejected by Judge Subramanian, alleged that the prosecution acted unprofessionally by presenting false testimony in court.
In this trial, the government has provided evidence that they either knew was significantly untrue or should have realized it was, concerning their claim that Mr. Combs hung Bryana Bongolan from the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. To prevent an unfair verdict in this case, the court should declare a mistrial.
In response to the accusation, it was suggested that Bongolan was not truthful regarding the event, highlighting certain supposed discrepancies within her account. The prosecution is set to present their case on June 9, followed by the judge’s decision the following day.
In April 2023, which marked the start of their second year together, Combs started covering Jane’s home rent expenses, and he has continued to do so ever since. According to Jane, she and the hip-hop tycoon had agreed a month prior that he would grant her a monthly stipend.
That particular night at the hotel, Sean presented a sort of ‘agreement of love’ between us,” she explained to the jury. “He was essentially asking me to specify my desired allowance.
month, just moving forward, that’s what he was going to do for me.”
I told her I needed 15,000 for the allowance, but she said she only had 10,000,” she explained. She began searching for new homes after that and eventually found one within her budget. She wanted something roomy for herself and her child to relax in, a place they could both call home. It was her way of seeking a sense of balance in their relationship – giving him her love, she wanted something in return.
According to Jane’s claim, the contract stipulates that she will be paid for all items, with no immediate demands for two consecutive years.
Jane openly shared that she frequently experienced urinary tract infections and yeast infections nearly every week, which she attributed to her extended sexual encounters. To manage this issue, she often relied on taking antibiotics regularly. She also confessed that she sometimes had sex before fully recuperating from her UTIs and endured pelvic soreness during all of the nights spent in hotels.
The witness additionally disclosed that she experienced discomfort in her shoulders and spine while having intercourse. Furthermore, she mentioned, “I was often found on the very edge of the chair or bed, assuming the positions he preferred during foreplay with these men.
Even though she felt the pain, Jane chose not to share it with Combs as she wished to avoid suggesting any negativity.
Instead, she claimed the discomfort wasn’t limited to their bedroom encounters. She testified before the jury, explaining that she had agreed to have her nipples pierced at Combs’ behest because he purportedly said it would “stimulate him greatly and was something he desired from his partner.
She said she removed the piercings because they “snagged and bled and got infected.”
However, she testified that Combs was unhappy with her decision.
She claimed that, initially, he appeared to be accepting of the situation. However, as time passed and I continued to take my time organizing things, I noticed his growing frustration.
She commented, “He’d often say things such as, ‘Where are your piercings? From now on, I won’t see you unless you have some piercings.’
