The prosecution is streamlining their case against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In my role as a lifestyle advisor, I’m closely following the ongoing federal trial of a renowned rap mogul who denies charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. Over the course of its seventh week in court, the prosecution has made adjustments to their arguments concerning attempted arson and kidnapping, as indicated by a letter submitted to Judge Arun Subramanian.
According to a statement made in the letter acquired by TopMob News, the prosecution has decided not to move forward with the proposed theories of liability. As a result, they no longer require any further instructions.
Besides modifying some aspects of their initial racketeering conspiracy charge (first count), the letter aimed at providing a clearer understanding of the two charges against Combs for facilitating prostitution (counts of transporting someone for prostitution).
In the summary of arguments this week, the letter emphasizes that it’s crucial for the jury to recognize that prior consent does not necessarily mean a person was involved in sex trafficking. This principle also applies to forced labor, a point relevant to the charges of sex trafficking against Combs.
Furthermore, the letter asks the court to clarify to the jury that “compensation given for acts of sex trafficking or forced labor does not imply they occurred without each other.
Currently, Combs is being tried on five federal charges, including those previously mentioned and two related to transporting someone for prostitution. A letter from the prosecution was recently sent, following Combs’ legal team choosing not to present a defense beyond 20 minutes on June 24th. The 55-year-old opted not to testify himself.
In response to your query, “After thoroughly considering the matter, that’s the course of action I’ve chosen.” Combs, who has been in federal custody since his September arrest, expressed this choice to the judge, choosing not to testify. “That’s entirely my decision, I am exercising it,” he stated.
In the unusual instance where I found myself speaking before the court, I, as a dedicated follower, took a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the skillful manner in which Mr. Subramanian has managed this case so far. My legal team has repeatedly requested a mistrial, but regardless of these requests, his guidance and expertise have been greatly valued throughout this process.
Combs informed the judge that he was doing well. He also wanted to express his gratitude for the judge’s outstanding performance.

Sean “Diddy” Combs informed Judge Arun Subramanian that he does not intend to testify during his sex trafficking trial.
The judge underscored that neither the rap mogul nor the jury could infer or hint at his guilt solely because he chose not to take the stand.
Combs made it clear that the choice not to testify was “entirely” his own personal decision, after discussing it with his team.
He informed the judge, “After careful consideration, I’ve arrived at this decision.
Teny Garagos, the defense attorney for Combs, informed the judge that both their legal team and the prosecution anticipate spending “at least four hours” for each of their closing statements.
After Special Agent Joseph Cerciello of Homeland Security Investigations finished his extended testimony for the prosecution on June 24, the defense is now set to present their case. In contrast to calling additional witnesses, Combs’ legal team plans to concentrate solely on the presented evidence.
On June 23rd, during Ceriello’s testimony, the jury viewed graphic videos, reportedly originating from Diddy’s “warm-ups”, that had been submitted as evidence.
In his observations, the special agent pointed out that he found 50 overt videos dated from both 2021 and 2022. During the trial, however, only two files were presented to the jury members via headphones and screens for their review.
In the voicemails he left for his ex-chief of staff Kristina Khorram on June 23rd, Combs outlined a particular set of demands during his stay at a hotel in November 2021. Among these requests were replenishing the supply of baby oil, a product he frequently used for “freak offs.
He told Khorram, “Give me a call when you’re about to leave,” and then he exclaimed, “I can’t believe I’m out! Stuff 20 bottles into that thing.” (Informal)
In response to Khorram’s request to stay at the hotel for another day, she said, “Sure thing. You can find the baby oil just outside the door.
Through text messages, his ex-employee reportedly communicated that she was preparing an IV drip for him and “Jane” (the pseudonym used during the trial), which he apparently utilized in at least one instance of “freak off” recovery, as per the group text conversations.
She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.
In the trial, jurors were presented with a sequence of text conversations between Combs and Ventura. During these exchanges, the artist known as “Long Way 2 Go” openly discussed the impact that the alleged mistreatment was having on her.
In March 2017, after Combs questioned whether Ventura, his on-and-off partner from 2007 to 2018, desired a break, she responded, “No. I simply don’t want to be mistreated for standing up or feeling insignificant ever again. You act towards me in a manner that makes me feel unimportant.
In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.
In a message sent in May, Ventura said, “I offer you love, but as soon as I look away for a moment and you start causing trouble, you pull me down the hallway by my hair. At 30 years old, I told you this isn’t a game anymore. Last night, I felt like I was already dead, and it wasn’t happening to me because seeing your radiance was so captivating.
Brendan Paul, who worked as an assistant for Combs between the years 2022 and 2024, testified that he bought illegal substances like marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy on several occasions for his supervisor.
Paul mentioned that they’d send messages to the drug dealer, who would then visit one of our homes as a result. He explained this process and added that he often met these individuals through text messages or phone conversations.
However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.
On June 18, Judge Subramanian suspended the court proceedings for the day as one of the main jurors was unwell and could not attend. (The court would not convene on June 19 due to Juneteenth.)
The judge stated that one of our jurors is unwell and had to return home due to dizziness, which we were informed by his partner. Since this juror is part of the main jury, it seems we can’t proceed with the trial today.
The judge acknowledged that it’s uncertain if the juror’s sudden onset of vertigo, characterized by dizziness, nausea, headaches, and additional symptoms, is short-lived or a persistent problem. However, they plan to keep a close eye on the situation.
Since the court was closed on June 19 for Juneteenth, Judge Subramanian announced that the trial would pick up again the following day, June 20, with a condensed schedule, lasting from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Following Judge Subramanian’s decision to dismiss Juror No. 6 due to inconsistencies regarding their home address, another juror might face removal due to an alleged inappropriate discussion about the case with a past coworker. The concerned juror has been summoned by the judge and requested to surrender their phone for examination, as reported by NBC News.
By the close of the court hearing on June 16, a determination about the member’s termination hadn’t been reached yet.
On June 13, Kanye West paid a visit to the New York City courthouse, standing by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Famous for his hit song “Stronger,” Kanye spent approximately 30 minutes within the building before stepping into the waiting area. However, he did not make it into the courtroom itself. The main room is exclusively reserved for Combs’ family, legal team, press, and those who endure long lines to secure a seat, while spectators like Kanye wait in an overflow area.
Jane remembered a dispute that transpired among them following her vacation in Las Vegas with another hip-hop artist and his spouse.
She declared that this situation resulted in observing explicit activities following her request for services from Anton, who was a sex worker frequently employed by herself and Combs. During their journey, a gathering of individuals witnessed Anton engaging in sexual acts with a woman in a hotel room.
Jane communicated to Geragos, Combs’ lawyer, that the rap magnate was displeased following his allegation that she had attended another man’s “wild party.
21 days into Combs’ trial, Maurene Comey, an assistant U.S. attorney, disclosed that they intend to dismiss one of the 12 jurors.
She shared with Judge Subramanian, before the jury came into the New York City courtroom, “We felt quite hesitant to include this in our letter, but it seemed as though there was an absence of honesty towards the court, which poses significant concerns for us.
defense lawyer Alexandra Shapiro, who pointed out that Juror No. 6 belongs to the black jury members, requested a little time of about one or two days to “compose a written response” and “review relevant legal precedents”.
As a devoted admirer, I’d put it this way: “In reply, Judge Subramanian shared that he would hold off on managing the juror matter until a definitive decision is reached.
Jane and Garagos engaged in a heated discussion on June 10, with Garagos implying that the former was involved in exchanging sexual favors for high-end items.
Lawyer Geragos examined text conversations between Jane and Combs from November 2021, where it appeared that the witness was displeased because the businessman was engaging in intimate relationships with other women. According to these messages, she inquired of Combs whether he had given the other woman a Chanel handbag as a post-encounter gift.
Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”
When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”
And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”
Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.
Jane stated that by around 2022, she thought Combs was someone who derived satisfaction from observing their partner engaging in physical intimacy with someone else, following an exploration of their romantic dynamics together.
She explained that her research helped clarify things for her, and she wanted to delve deeper into the motivations behind their enjoyment of seeing their partner with other people.
It was suggested that the reason Combs frequently requested “hotel nights” might be because he’s exploring his sexual identity, as these instances seem remarkably similar to Ventura’s “freak offs.
As a devoted observer, I can say that some individuals might harbor a genuine fascination they’re too embarrassed to explore personally. Instead, they channel this curiosity through another person, daring not to directly engage in the act themselves.
Jane stated that she referred to Paul, an escort they hired frequently with Combs, as “Trifecta.” This nickname came about because she saw their relationship’s sexual dynamics as similar to the court triumphs achieved by successful basketball players.
“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”
She characterized Paul as exceptionally kind, emphasizing that if she were in a situation where she had to engage in intimate relations with escort services, at least it would be with someone who radiated a welcoming and positive vibe.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share that the relationship between Combs and Khorram seemed to be a contentious issue – a “stumbling block,” if you will – in my beloved’s affection for the rap tycoon.
In my professional opinion, Khorram and I were inseparable, and it posed challenges for our dynamic. It seemed to me that Khorram harbored intense emotions towards me, which significantly impacted the way Sean interacted with me.
On June 10th, Judge Subramanian dismissed a request for a mistrial from Diddy’s legal team. They had claimed that Vanessa and her friend Bryana Bongolan were untruthful about Bryana being held over a 17th-floor balcony by the rap tycoon.
In their recent court filing, his legal team alleged that the prosecution had acted unprofessionally by presenting false testimony and misbehaving during the trial.
The letter states that during this trial, the government has provided evidence that was materially false or they should have known it was false regarding their claim about Mr. Combs hanging Bryana Bongolan from Cassie Ventura’s balcony in September 2016. To prevent an unfair verdict in this case, the court is recommended to declare a mistrial.
Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.
Jane stated that she and Combs got into an argument over him being with a woman who was significantly younger, as reported by Jane. This alleged incident caused her to call him a “predator” and forcefully push his head against a marble kitchen counter.
According to the witness’s statement, she concealed herself in the main bedroom, and Combs attempted to force open the door by kicking it. (Evidence presented included photographs of the damaged door.) She claimed that as she was trying to escape, the founder of Bad Boy Records kicked her on the back of her thigh, causing her to stumble.
She informed the prosecution that he had pinned her to the ground in a headlock, raised her off the ground, and she found herself standing on tiptoe due to difficulty breathing, struggling to escape his grasp.
Jane mentioned that she dashed out of the house, concealed herself near a wall outside for roughly two hours, wishing he would depart, yet he didn’t. She stated they eventually went back to his residence, where she huddled in the yard to safeguard herself as Combs reportedly assaulted her.
As Jane stated, the argument intensified when it is claimed that Combs struck her repeatedly in the head. She explained to the court that he began kicking her as well, spewing a variety of abusive words while continuing to strike her.
She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”
She declared under oath, “I replied, ‘No, I’m not. Please go away. Go away. Stop it,'” but he forcefully took hold of her arm and hair instead, pulling her back towards the house, using both her arm and her hair for support.
Following the reported attack, Jane mentioned that she noticed two bumps about the size of golf balls on her forehead, along with a swollen and discolored left eye.
Jane stated that Homeland Security executed a raid on her home, which was one of several properties owned by Combs and investigated in March 2023. She reported that the authorities arrived at her residence, prompting her to contact Combs’ security chief to inform him about the incident.
In December 2023, it was claimed by Jane that the influential figure had warned they would reveal intimate videos of her and potentially share them with her child’s father.
As Jane and Combs’ relationship became strained, she claimed he stated he had “no more to lose” by sharing the videos. In court, she testified that it felt like a constant barrage of demanding phone calls.
Jane sent a message to Khorram regarding the incident, which was admitted as evidence. In her messages, Jane stated that Combs had threatened to share the video where she claimed to be under heavy influence of drugs.
She additionally mentioned that she required some distance from Combs, as she was attempting to deal with all the pain he inflicted.
Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.
During her testimony, Jane stated that certain aspects of Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit, which ended in a settlement, seemed similar to her personal encounters with Combs.
She shared with the jury that she came very close to losing consciousness, and it’s likely she actually did faint, while tearfully expressing this. On those particular pages, she stated, there were extremely troubling allusions to her ordeal.
Jane, who participated in the “hotel nights,” expressed feeling as though she was living through a personal narrative. This sensation prompted her to engage with Combs via text messages, leading to a direct confrontation.
In her response to Ventura’s lawsuit, she expressed that it felt as if she was reliving her own sexual trauma through the reading. She went on to say that she was ill, and the text was an exact match for her drug-fueled days and nights. She implied that he had warned her about this happening, manipulated her, and caused her to lose her sanity.
The messages went on, leaving me appalled. It seemed as though I had no choice but to comply with one situation after another. You added to the distress I felt about my past sexual traumas. I feel deeply violated and used in a sexually exploitative way.
Later on, Combs referred to Jane without her awareness and secretly documented their discussion. This clandestine recording was admitted as evidence where he mentioned doing certain actions with her and emphasized the significance of her presence at a specific time.
Jane expressed to Combs that she felt extremely nauseous upon reviewing Ventura’s documents, unaware that she was being filmed.
Jane shared that during her “Hotel Nights” with Combs and male escorts, she usually indulged in ecstasy. However, on one particular occasion, she chose to abstain from drugs while engaging in intimate moments with three different men.
She stated under oath that she had been with several gentlemen that evening. Afterward, she became ill and ended up vomiting. Then, Sean entered the scene and told her, “Don’t worry, you’ll feel better now. Let’s step outside.
Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
On the eighteenth day of the trial, Combs’ legal representatives submitted a request for a mistrial on June 7th. They claimed that Ventura and Bongolan had given false testimonies about Bongolan being held over a 17-floor balcony by the hip hop tycoon.
In response to Judge Subramanian’s denial of their previous request for a mistrial, lawyers representing Combs alleged that the prosecution had acted improperly by presenting false or dishonest testimony in court.
The letter states that during this court case, the government has provided evidence that was likely false and crucial to their claim that Mr. Combs had hung Bryana Bongolan over the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. To prevent an unfair verdict based on potentially tainted evidence, it is recommended that the court declare a mistrial.
In their argument, the defense claimed that Bongolan fabricated details about the event, citing what they believed were discrepancies in her account. The prosecution is expected to present their counterargument on the 9th of June, following which the judge will deliver his decision the very next day.
Jane stated that starting from April 2023, exactly two years into their relationship, Combs started covering her home’s rent payments. They had previously agreed a month earlier that he would offer her a regular financial assistance.
That particular night at the hotel is etched in my memory, as it was the moment Sean presented our ‘love agreement,'” she informed the jury. “In essence, he was asking me to specify my preferred allowance.
month, just moving forward, that’s what he was going to do for me.”
She mentioned that she requested 15,000 for the allowance, but he stated 10,000 instead. This is her explanation. To find a suitable place, she searched for new homes and eventually moved into one. The primary goal was to secure a large and spacious dwelling for herself and her child. She desired this home as a sanctuary they could both enjoy, seeking a sense of harmony in their relationship. Previously, she had been pouring all her affection into him, and this move represented his reciprocation.
According to Jane’s statement, as stated in the contract, she is entitled to receive funds “without any urging or deadline, for a period of two years.
Jane confided that she frequently experienced urinary tract infections and yeast infections nearly every week due to extended periods of sexual activity. To manage this, she often took antibiotics regularly. She also revealed that she sometimes engaged in sex before being fully healed from her UTIs, and during “every single night” spent at hotels, she often felt discomfort in her pelvic region.
The witness additionally disclosed that she experienced discomfort in her shoulders and back while having sex. Moreover, she mentioned, “I was often positioned at the very edge of the chair or bed, performing foreplay according to his preference with these male partners.
Even though she felt the pain, Jane chose not to inform Combs about it as she preferred not to suggest anything negative.
However, she asserted that the discomfort wasn’t confined to their bedroom encounters. She testified before the jury that she had her nipples pierced at Combs’ behest as he claimed it would “stimulate him greatly and that was what he desired from his partner.
She said she removed the piercings because they “snagged and bled and got infected.”
However, she testified that Combs was unhappy with her decision.
She claimed that initially, he seemed fine with the situation. However, as time passed and I was still organizing things, his patience began to wear thin.
She mentioned, “He used to comment, ‘I can’t find your piercings! This will be the last time I see you without any.’
It was claimed by Jane that she was obligated to spend several hours celebrating at a “hotel event” on her birthday in 2023, despite her not wanting to do so.
Although he was reportedly informed multiple times by her that she didn’t wish to participate, and the incident bore striking resemblance to Ventura’s encounters at “freak offs”, she claimed that he unexpectedly arranged for an ‘entertainer’ during their dinner instead.
The witness, who was in a relationship with Combs from 2021 to 2024, stated that she had dressed up for him. They were having a sushi dinner together. She expressed her joy at being with her significant other. He seemed incredibly affectionate, and then he mentioned, “I’m really looking forward to seeing the performer tonight.
She went on to say, ‘I hadn’t anticipated this,’ she explained. ‘I stammered out, “An entertainer?” I was speechless. He replied, “‘Today is your birthday.’ He suggested we should enjoy ourselves.’ She simply agreed.
Jane, who found herself weeping while testifying, expressed that the escort seemed “more like a stranger to me than anyone else.
On my special day, I didn’t feel like engaging in any activities, but there I was on the couch, preparing for an uncomfortable situation, hoping to swiftly conclude it. I turned to Sean, asking for protection. His response was far from what I expected – a disapproving glance, a head shake, and a firm, “You better not ask for that damned condom.
Following reports that the rap tycoon is said to have given the escort birth control, “Jane” described him as being remarkably nonchalant or indifferent about the matter.
She stated that he was leaving, and during the entire incident, he appeared disheartened which made her uncomfortable. I wished the situation would end quickly.
Jane claimed that the longest “uninterrupted hotel stay” occurred during New Year’s Eve in 2022, lasting approximately “3 to 3.5 days.”
She admitted to relying on a mix of “ecstasy, caffeine, water, and protein shakes” to maintain wakefulness throughout the extended all-night sexual encounter.
Jane stated that she repeatedly asked Combs if the male escorts should use a condom during their hotel stays, but he is said to have declined her request.
She informed the jury that he reacted as if he was very upset and tried to make her feel guilty. However, she clarified that it wasn’t something he desired… Rather, he wanted to change the topic. His words were, ‘It isn’t going to happen, so stop bringing it up.’ He also expressed that he didn’t want to be reminded of a rubber while he was observing.
Jane shared insight into her decision to participate in orchestrated sex acts with the rap mogul.
She stated that it was suggested by the founder of Bad Boy Records, under suspicion, that he might incorporate escort services and voyeurism into private bedroom activities.
She informed the court that she agreed (said OK) because it appeared as if he desired it and it aroused him, and at the moment, she was deeply engaged with her partner.
She claimed that Combs contacted a male escort, who she asserted they both had sexual encounters with prior to their own relationship. She stated that this unconventional and enjoyable night established the dynamic for their relationship in the future.
She stated in her account, ‘That particular night seemed to unleash a torrent of issues in our relationship, much like when Pandora opened the box.’ In the days that followed, there were simply too many problems to handle.
She claimed to frequently observe Sean Combs engaging in sexual activities with other men, for approximately 90% of their encounters. These intimate episodes were said to last from 24 to 30 hours, without any breaks for rest. Moreover, she felt a sense of duty as she was aware that her rent was being paid by him, which is why she continued the arrangement.
