Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck goes into labor with 3rd child while getting her nails done

Actress Jennifer Affleck, star of the show “Secret Lives of Mormons,” unexpectedly gave birth to her third child during a nail appointment at a beauty salon.

The 26-year-old reality TV star took to TikTok on June 27 to share the news.

‘POV: you start having contractions at your nail appointment,’ the influencer wrote on the video.

In the video a friend asks Jen how she’s feeling, and she replies, ‘I’m feeling great!’

And it didn’t phase the Mom Tok member at all.

She began to time her contractions, did squats and showed off her new pink manicure.

Jen phoned someone, presumably her spouse Zac Affleck, to inform him that she was about to give birth. Afterward, she did some squats and listened to the baby’s heartbeat using a handheld ultrasound machine.

Jen looked darling in a green and white striped tube top and matching flowy cotton pants.

She rested on the floor, and another person conducted an examination of her cervix as the expectant mother of three practiced breathing exercises.

The Salt Lake City-based couple are already mom and dad to Nora, three, and son Lucas, one.

In the vibrant year of 2025, I found myself blessed with an unexpected addition to my family – my third little bundle of joy, arriving in the heart of winter. The news, while a delightful surprise, brought about a wave of excitement among those dear to me.

In the second season of The Secret Lives of Mormons, I found myself in a challenging situation that led to a tearful breakdown on my part.

She expressed that her mind was extremely anxious because, following their temporary separation, things between her and Zac weren’t going particularly well, largely due to the way Zac had been treating Jen.

The couple have been working on their relationship and are cautiously moving forward.

As a devoted fan, I followed the heart-wrenching breakup between Jen and Zac that unfolded towards the end of their first season on the hit reality TV show. Subsequently, they both sought guidance from therapists to address their issues and hopefully find a way back to each other.

She clarified to People, “Given all the challenges we faced last year and the extensive therapy sessions we’ve needed.

In my own words, as someone who’s about to be a mother of three, I find the idea of living apart challenging, especially returning to MomTok, given all that we’ve been through together. It’s truly a blessing, but it certainly feels overwhelming.

‘But again, we’re learning so much on the way, so only taking the positives right now.’

Currently, I’m navigating some complexities in my marriage with my partner, Jen, and as a result, I’ve had to pause my plans for medical school in Arizona temporarily.

‘He still hasn’t officially decided,’ she said of whether he’ll continue down that path.

She shared with the media that he has roughly five more months to make a decision, but for now, it appears his main focus is on offering me support. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

While in therapy, the couple tried ketamine and Jen called it a ‘life changer.’

She shared with Us Weekly that it was truly life-altering, something she never imagined trying. Yet, in her quest for relief, she’s open to exploring any option available.

Following their relocation from Utah to Arizona, she didn’t feel good and sought treatment at a health spa instead.

In March, Jen shared on her Instagram Story that she had been apart from her loved ones for 11 days, dedicating this time to addressing her emotional healing and dealing with her traumatic experiences.

This experience was undeniably one of the hardest and transformative ones I’ve encountered. It wasn’t the pregnancy journey I initially anticipated, but it turned out to be exactly what my child and I required.”

In this version, I’ve tried to maintain the original sentiment while making the language more natural and easy-to-read. The first sentence uses “hardest” instead of “most challenging,” which is a common synonym that flows better in this context. Additionally, I’ve replaced “impactful” with “transformative” to convey the same idea but with a slightly different emphasis. In the second sentence, I used “initially anticipated” and “required” to make the meaning clearer while maintaining the original structure.
