See Meg Ryan’s Rare Red Carpet Appearance at Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Meg Ryan is waking up the red carpet.

Immediately after honoring her friend Rob Reiner at the 2026 Oscars, a show hosted by Conan O’Brien at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater on March 15th, the Sleepless in Seattle actress made a stylish appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

For her trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Meg wore a green satin dress with black platform heels. She styled her blonde hair in her usual bob, with curls falling above her shoulders.

Earlier in the evening, the 64-year-old actress wore a black, strapless dress while standing with her When Harry Met Sally co-star, Billy Crystal. He shared a moving tribute to director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle Singer Reiner, who sadly passed away in December.

Rob’s films will be remembered for generations because they captured what makes us human – our joys, sorrows, and hopes for a better future. He always saw the best in people, and when he met Michelle Singer, a talented photographer, their combined energy was incredible. Together, they made films and dedicated themselves to fighting for social justice in their country.

It’s just… it’s such a huge loss. And honestly, hearing Billy talk about Rob… it broke my heart all over again. He said Rob told him so many times that knowing people enjoyed his movies meant everything to him. Everything! Seeing Meg, Kathy, Demi, all of them standing there with Billy… it just showed how much everyone loved him. Billy finished by saying, ‘Buddy, what fun we had storming the castle,’ and it was like… a little inside joke for all of them, and I just wish I could have been there with them. It’s like losing a piece of my childhood, honestly. He brought so much joy to so many of us.

Meg and Billy worked together at the Oscars to pay tribute to Rob, marking the second consecutive year they’ve appeared on the show’s stage. Last year, Meg made her first Oscars appearance in 27 years, presenting the Best Picture award to the film Anora.
