For the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler on January 4th, Hacks stars Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs found their red carpet fashion inspiration in Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet.
The actors perfectly recreated a recent all-orange outfit worn by the couple at the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme, even matching Kylie’s thick cross necklace and Timothée’s black leather paddle case. You can see all the red carpet looks from the Critics Choice Awards streaming on TopMob and USA Network here.
But if you ask Megan and Paul, the apparent homage boils down to coincidence.
“I have no idea what this even is,” Megan admitted to Keltie Knight from TopMob News while on the red carpet, explaining that her stylist had simply chosen the outfit for her.
Paul explained the outfits were inspired by a famous couple. He said, “We didn’t have much time for fittings or shopping because we’re currently filming season five of Hacks.”
When someone asked Paul if he and Kylie had specifically asked Timothée Chalamet to appear for the visuals, he jokingly replied that he didn’t want to brag about who they’d contacted. Paul is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
Although Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner probably won’t recreate their memorable, all-orange outfits – inspired by the promotional color scheme for Marty Supreme – they’re expected to make a big impression with their fashion choices at the Critics Choice Awards.

Timothée is up for Best Actor, competing with Leonardo DiCaprio (for One Battle After Another), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
Regarding the overwhelming use of orange during the promotional tour for Marty Supreme, including memorable moments like Timothée standing on top of the Sphere in Las Vegas…

Timothée Chalamet told IndieWire that the film embodies the spirit of Martin Scorsese, explaining it’s a rare, original movie being released today. He described it as a story about chasing a dream, and said he’s doing everything he can to promote it – from merchandise to interviews – to reach the widest possible audience.
Everything – from the orange blimp shaped like Marty, to his quirky team and special-edition jacket – is, according to the Dune actor, a tribute to the character Marty Mauser.
