See Scrubs’ Zach Braff, Donald Faison & More Reunite in Revival Teaser

Your favorite doctors are scrubbing back in.

As a huge Scrubs fan, I was so excited to hear Zach Braff and Donald Faison were bringing the show back! They’ve admitted they couldn’t do it alone – it takes a lot of people to make something special like Scrubs – and it’s awesome to see them reuniting with some familiar faces. The revival premieres on ABC February 25th, and I can’t wait!

As J.D. walks through the halls of Sacred Heart Hospital – the iconic setting for both the original nine-season series (2001-2010) and its revival – he admits, “Man, I missed this. Just being honest with each other.”

Seeing Christopher Turk and J.D. so close again, Dr. Perry Cox jokingly remarked, “You two are a perfect match.”

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that we’re revisiting some beloved characters! Years after the original show, we’re catching up with familiar faces like Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes) and Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), alongside some exciting new additions – meet Dr. Eric Park (Joel Kim Booster) and Sibby (Vanessa Bayer). And yes, you guessed it, they’re still enjoying those famous appletinis! It’s like a warm hug for anyone who loved the original series, and a fun introduction for new viewers.

In the show’s promotional material, J.D. explains that during each work shift, they strive to help as many people as possible and strongly support one another.

Longtime fans will enjoy familiar moments and references to the original show, such as heartfelt talks on the Sacred Heart Hospital rooftop and Carla’s endearing nickname for J.D., ‘Bambi.’

Although most fans see the eighth season finale as the show’s end, J.D., Turk, and Dr. Cox continued on for a ninth season. This season featured the three of them as teachers at the made-up Winston University, and Lucy, played by Kerry Bishé, took over the narration from J.D.

Zach and Donald are excited about the new series and exploring fresh stories within the world of Scrubs.

Although most fans see the eighth season finale as the show’s true ending, J.D., Turk, and Dr. Cox continued appearing in season nine. This season featured the three of them as teachers at the made-up Winston University, and Lucy, played by Kerry Bishé, took over the voice-over narration from J.D.

Zach and Donald are excited about the new series and exploring fresh stories within the world of Scrubs.

Zach told People in November that the revival of Scrubs has a new, young writing team working alongside some of the show’s original, talented writers. He believes this diverse group of new writers will be key to finding the right direction for the show.

Donald believes the show’s central story remains compelling. Even with all the changes over its nine seasons, viewers are still invested in the characters – the doctors they admire – and want to continue following their journeys.
