See Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith Reunite for Rare Outing in Paris

Despite their separation, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are still getting jiggy with it.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith came together at Paris Fashion Week to cheer on their 27-year-old son, Jaden Smith, as he presented his first fashion collection. Jaden is the new men’s creative director for Christian Louboutin, and his debut was on January 21st.

Will dressed for the family event in a stylish, all-black outfit. He wore a heavy black coat, a black sweater, and tweed plaid pants, finishing the look with black boots and sunglasses.

Jada, age 54, chose a stylish all-black outfit. She paired a black blouse and leather pants with a large fur coat. The author of Worthy—who also has a 25-year-old daughter, Willow Smith, with Will—completed the look with silver jewelry, like a necklace featuring an Om symbol, and edgy Louboutin heels.

The couple was seen together publicly for the first time in four months. They previously celebrated Jada’s 54th birthday back in September at E Baldi restaurant in Beverly Hills.

That same month, they were seen having lunch at Nobu in Malibu, Calif.

Despite separating quietly in 2016, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith haven’t pursued a legal divorce. Jada explained that she promised there would never be a need for one.

She told NBC in 2023, after publicly announcing their split, that she’s determined to follow through on a commitment she made, saying, ‘We’ll get through this, and I haven’t been able to go back on that.’

As for what went wrong in their 19-year marriage? 

Jada explained that there wasn’t one single reason for the breakdown of their relationship. She felt that by 2016, they had simply run out of energy trying to make things work. Both of them, she said, were holding onto an idealized image of who they wanted the other person to be, rather than accepting them as they were.

Still, she and Will have nothing but “deep love for each other.”

In a 2023 interview with People magazine, Jada Pinkett Smith shared that she and her family are still working through things. She also expressed how much she’s learned from her children, calling them wise beyond their years and explaining that they’ve helped her embrace who she is.

She spoke about the incredible, unconditional love her children have for both her and her husband. She explained that while giving unconditional love is wonderful, receiving it is something truly special.
